Why is Fox adding crowd noise when there are people there? I would love to hear the actual sounds of the stadium right now.

Starting to think that feeding the Astros one high fastball after another isn’t going to work out for the Rays.

The planning meeting for this stadium:

Architect: so, the main view behind the plate should be some natural stone with a low wall, with the fans providing the backdrop. This will be the most viewed part of the ballpark for tv viewers and set the tone for them wanting to see the stadium.

Rangers ownership: man, we aren’t so sure about that. That would be a good place to have the tv cameras and sound cones and miscellaneous personnel.

Architect: well, a lot of stadiums did that back in the 70’s when they built those multi-purpose stadiums. It is kind of a clinical feel. Very cold and non inviting.

Rangers ownership: YES! That is exactly what we want. We hated the inviting style of the old Rangers ball park.

Architect:  :wall:

Don’t forget the advertising billboards

Imagine being Kershaw and pitching a pretty darn good game in the playoffs after so many rough playoff outings and some shmoe that has only ever even pitched 6 innings once before in his career out pitches you.

Assuming the Braves hang on that will be the main storyline for the game.  Got to feel a little sorry for him.

Dustin May reminds me of the kid from So I Married an Axe Murderer.

That gargantuan heed of his....

The Astros are just so unlikeable. And that’s without the cheating.
I just don't follow this.  I've watched most of these guys come up and I generally think they're good likable guys, mostly from underprivileged backgrounds.  Bregman gives off a bit of a smarmy attitude but I just don't see where you get that with the rest of them.

Did you miss last offseason?
