How I Met Your Mother (1 Viewer)

Liked Barney's line "My arm hasn't been this tired since I was 13 and figured out how to lock the bathroom door."

Seems like the show may be running out of steam. Robin to Japan? Ted to Jersey? Both of these things has to unravel, right? Marshall's character is in a total freefall too. Nothing good going on there at all.

Everyone seems to be going opposite direction. I dont really sense any structure to the show. I still think its early for Ted to settle down with Stella.

I hope Robin does not go anywhere but, and this is just a guess on my part, Barney is going to mention something to her about how he feels to keep her from going...just a guess.

Kind of agree with the "no structure" thing going on but in order to build the show back up they needed to slow down a little and become unorganized a little.

The other thought is that this is season 4 and what if, just a what if, this season or next season is the planned ending of the show? Go out on top even if it is a short run series of four maybe five seasons.

His speech on hating New York had me

The best burger ep was pretty bad, but last night's Jersey ep was great. As for the cast going in different directions, don't forget "Aunt" Robin was mentioned living in Japan (among other places) a couple of years back. In the long run, they HAVE to grow apart. This isn't the Simpsons. It's up to the writers to keep it fresh. Although I will say I hope Sarah Chalke isn't the Mother in the long run.

They've also mentioned Ted and Robin living in the same apartment eventually, so it seems pretty clear that the Japan thing isn't going to stick.I'm with those who think that this season has been pretty disappointing. Barney, in particular, has been written pretty bad this year. From constantly singing a bank jingle to refusing to lower his arm until he get dap. They've made him weirdly lame.

Barney playing an old man and trying to get laid was "awesome". Barney's character had a good episode.

Leaving the cliffhanger at the end after they fast forwarded a year was fine, I guess it left me interested to see what happened, but I have a good idea of what did happen and what didn't end up happening.

For those of you saying the show was losing structure, thoughts after this weeks episode?

I'm really glad he's not marrying that Scrubs chick. For some reason, I just can't stand her as an actress. Oh, and more Barney please.

I thought the episode was not that great. It was just a plot device to get him out of the relationship and get Robin back in New York.

Couple things about this last show:

1: I thought it was the best one I've seen in a while

2: Robin's very hot - just making sure that's still known

3: Who was the smoking hot blonde cook that showed up during all the Monday night shows doing Italian food commercials? - ETA I think it's Lara Spencer

4: Barney was almost back to being Barney

Monday's show felt like an episode from Season 1 to me, which is a good thing. Particularly, it reminded me of the Season 1 finale, all the way down to the perfect use of music for the emotional punch of the final scenes (with Benji Hughes playing the role of Bloc Party this time).

Solid episode.

I think it was pretty well foreshadowed that

Sarah Chalke isn't the Mother
, but I was kind of disappointed in the way it played out. The whole "ex boyfriend" thing just came out of left field.

That said.....GOOD episode for Barney.

1 - agreed; loved the no alcohol/meat reactions2 - yes she is

3 - commercials? what are those?

4 - Loved his reaction to the sister walking in the room after seeing the other girl - classic Barney

One of the better episodes that I've seen in terms of plot and hte direction of the show.

Barney was really good, getting the two girls at the end, because hes....Barney. Good Stuff.

Just one more thing I took from the episode after watching a clip online. Ted kept saying never invite an ex to your wedding and wished he had known of that earlier.

Is this a hint that when he gets married Robin will not be there since from that point he will never invite an ex to a wedding, with Robin being an ex?....or something else with Robin. Just something I took from the episode.

Thought the episode had a very "Friendish" feel at first, but all in all...it was solid
I thought the same at the first commercial break, but the rest of the show was classic & the ending came out of left field for me. After the burger episode, that show was hanging on by a thread in my DVR que

Was the lead woo girl Meadow Soprano? If so, any chance she is the mother?
There is a chance, considering her dance floor reveal was 'Will I ever have Kids?" I'm sure it was thrown in there on the off chance she stays on the show.

Hmm, I never made this connection until just reading it now. At the end of the show (the little snippet before the end credits) she also commented how Ted was hot and they should go look for him to have the threesome with.

I wouldn't mind seeing more Jamie Lynn Sigler in both How I Met Your Mother and Entourage. She is easy on the eyes!

Interestingly, Jamie Lynn looks a lot like the daughter in the Bob Saget portions of the show. I think you guys could be on to something.

A good funny episode. I've been sticking with the show but this episode was really good.

Jamie Lynn Sigler looked really hot on the episode as well as the lesbian friend.

I've met several woo girls in my lifetime, it is totally how they act, the episode had it nailed.

yep, I was laughing my butt off, and called my wife in the room, then quickly said nevermind, because I've many, many times made fun of her and her drunk friends for doing exactly that "WOOOOOO!", especially with songs that come on.I figured she wouldn't see the same humor I saw!

"I have nothing more to offer. I'm in like 5 fantasy football leagues and that's all I talk about"

:banned:  :lmao: :lmao: :lmao:

Holy crap I was laughing my ### off there. The rest of the episode was a classic as well. I do love this show.
