How's the Jets decision to go with Favre looking now? (1 Viewer)

Favre looked horrible near the end of the season. Granted his shoulder was hurting him. Plus the coaching was so so.

Concerning Pennington: It's the feel good story of the year. But remember Pennington was always injury prone. Plus he was always on his back while with the Jets. Due to a poor offensive line in the past. Pennington staying with the Jets might of meant more Kellen Clemens playing time. With Favre their was stability for over half the season until the collapse. The main thing I noticed with the Jets this year was their offensive line which was much improved which is the main reason why Thomas Jones will be in the pro bowl and why Favre wasn't sacked more.

Concerning the Packers and people who diss on Favre. The Packers were 6-10 this year and 2 of their wins came against the Lions. If I were a Packers fan who disses on Favre I'd be embarrased.

As for Green Bay Rodgers did as well as Favre except for 2 minute comebacks. He did fine for a 1st year starter. Favre is 39 and not the future. The Jets never executed any balance with Favre, Thomas Jones and Leon Washington. Many times on 3rd and 2 they threw. They never found balance.

how'd their defense compare to last year?

Its not dissing on Favre to think GB made the right decision.GB was 6-10 this year....not even close to all of that has to do with the QB. Actually, its relative low on the list of reasons why they were not good this year.

I remember Rodgers leading a number of come backs only to have the Defense give up the lead or the kicker miss a FG.

I remember Rodgers throwing INTs too when trying to lead the Packers back. Bottom line is that in crunch time Rodgers has yet to lead the Packers to a victory.

I saw the games so I know exactly when and how these things happened. The problem was the D holding the lead.

That he did...as did Favre several times in his career.Including his last pass for the Packers.

It happens. Hopefully Rodgers can improve there...and hopefully so can the D.

As for the decision...remains a good one for all 3 teams that ended up really involved.
