Don't get me wrong. Love the service, worth the investment, and I will undoubtedly be back again next year. Best site out there.But I do think I have a legit beef. Wrote yesterday that I thought the decision to not do upgrades/downgrades and waiver wire pickups for week 17 was a mistake. Shick locked the thread, suggest I PM Joe and Dodds. Did, no return as of yet. Realize people are on vacation, holidays, no sweat.Then Henry's Offensive Sleepers comes out this morning, and BRANDON STOKLEY is listed as a prime pickup, great matchup? I mean, how long has it been announced that Stokley won't play? Monday? And nothing on Walters?We're all human, we all make mistakes. But it sure looks like FBG is being a little less "excellent" with it's service in week 17..I'm sure the mods will lock this one too.

Last poll here I saw had it somewhere around 60-40 or 50-50 as to when a season ended.In 7 leagues this year, 6 are a combined Week 16 & 17, one ended on week 16.

I am still scouring for any 'real' news as week 17 looms huge. I realize it's the holidays and some leagues may be done. So what? Some of us play right until the last dog is hung. I mean coming right down to a sack. Last year we tied for first in points. Thanks to Thomas Jones in a meaningless game and two scores. The year before it was some back up SF WR that had a big game. And I cna't remember his name? From U of Michigan perhaps? Why not continue on with this format right until the end? This year appears less than stellar. I want information. Every point counts.What I would like to see these last couple of weeks is more in depth discussion and give greater attention to who plays, how much, playoff scenario's, etc. I mean I started Reggie Wayne with the expectation of him playing at least half a game and perhaps into the third quarter (he was ranked in the top 12-15 at WR). In points only leagues you play the whole 17 weeks. I am in two playoffs now in ESPN where you play weeks 16 & 17 for the combined points to win the championship. Do I like it? NO! Will I be back next year? NO! That was the risk/reward of starting Colts last week. We all knew that going into it. I don't think anyone could accurately predict *exactly* how many series each player would play, but we knew the maximum was a half.

The saving grace re: lack of information on waiver wire prospects is that there are only two teams to dip into the wire this week, so the competition is less, and in my case I think the team I'm up against is going to dance with the - not sitting the week out - horses that brung 'em.I don't have the same luxury, since I didn't manage to avoid having players from the five or six teams that are likely to rest starters this week.

That's not always true, particularly of the types of leagues still playing this week. I'm in one total points league (with weekly prizes) that plays through week 17 so every team is still active and I'm in another "salary cap contest" that also goes through week 17 where you pick your roster fresh every week so the whole roster has to be evaluated. I can certainly make my own decisions, but I do usually like to look at the FBG material (Paid and here on the boards) for other opinions and highlighting potential breakout guys and matchups. FWIW, I hadn't heard Stokely was definintely out yet (although I knew he was hurt so I knew he was too risky to start - I was surprised to see him on the WW list this week)

What I want is that my trusted source is FBG.com, and I do not have to scour other places. When you are on top of it - well, then you are. And if you're not, then you begin to loose some faith and begin to look elsewhere. When you're #1 in any business, you can either stay there or watch someone else take over.My suggestion to FBG is to listen to what people really want. I don't need some of that target stuff, and who's hot and who's not - I want to know the scoop on the difficult calls - and there are many of those. Then I can put my best foot forward and so be it.

I know it's only Wednesday, but I feel somewhat 'up in the air.' I am hopeful to see the projections this week.

Week 17 is very normal for playing the Fantasy Bowl. Being the only 3x champ in the Midwest Unified Fantasy Football League. My advice is to spend more time researching the importance of the wk 17 match-up's and less time looking at the player rankings. PS: I realize this doesn't have anything to do with what you posted. My league's Superbowl is in week 16 but I still pay FBG for a FULL season of information. If I don't need information for week 17 does that mean I get a refund of 1/17 off the price? Didn't think so. FBG made a commitment to its subscriber (me) for a full season and week 17 content should be just as excellent as any other week.

nothing like a scientific survey to squash the discussion. you could say 70% of the owners don't make it past week 13 or 14 so why bother.

My league championship is 16&17 combined score. I know a good amount of people who play this format. Seems weird they would shut down at this point.

Like everyone, I'm a big fan.I think literally the shortfall was dropping ALL of our FBG source material until Thursday. I understand dropping Top 200 (irrelevant compared to cheatsheet Thursday); SOS (how much could it have changed in a week); so it's really the waiver wire and upgrades/downgrades.Next year, if you did the exact same thing, and combined the waiver/upgrades thing into one document, that would be fine with me. I understand the desire to limit production in the holiday season, but something would be nice.

We made the decision that drop adds weren't of enough value in the last week since most leagues have a drop add deadline. But looking here, that's something we'll look at for next year.

But everything else is exactly the same as it has been all week long. We have zero intention of "mailing" anything in for week 17. In fact, I added more player info on the Players In The News last night than we've had all year for a Tuesday. We'll be working on it as hard as ever.
