I'm Starting M. Sanchez Over _______. (1 Viewer)

I've never started one of these threads. Always found them useful.

And I can't believe it's gotten to a point where Sanchez is once again a possible option. Especially with bye weeks.

Many "experts" think Sanchez is simply plug and play here...and possibly a better option than Foles.

The matchup is obviously there against CAR.

I personally am considering benching Cutler for Sanchez. Insane. But I'm tired of watching him kill me and his track record in Green Bay is miserable.

Who else is taking the plunge with Mr. Buttfumble?

In a 14-team league with short benches, I picked up Vick last week to cover Brady's bye this week. Promptly dumped Vick for Sanchez. So.....Starting him over Vick.

Starting him over Foles in one league and also somewhat considering him over Cutler in another. Cutler's matchup scares me a little

The over is 53.5 pts. Clearly the odds makers think Cutler will put up some pts here. Or maybe GB will win 50-3.

Romo...I can't trust that Romo will stay on the field. I feel Sanchez is a lock for 15 - 20 points and maybe more depending if this is where Carolina gives up on their season.

Currently I have Cam Newton starting but I may switch to Sanchez before Monday night. It is crazy talk I know but Cam hasn't been playing well so I'm actually leaning towards Sanchez.

Someone talk me off the ledge.

Starting him over Flacco with Luck on bye.

I think.

Flacco is normally pretty solid at home, but I think Chip may try to send a message that he's not going to miss a beat with Sanchez in there. And I think he's probably right, too.

Foles/Luck owner, so I'm starting Sanchez. Orton seemed like the next best option on the WW but I leaned Sanchez with the match ups in mind.

Bye week for me so starting him over Hoyer as my other option. Probably a push but it's nice to have an option.

Considering him over Newton. Thankfully don't have to make the decision till Monday night. This has been muddied by the fact that the Luck owner also had Rivers and was forced to drop him to the WW this week. Can't pass that up so will most likely try get Rivers and keep Cam

Can't believe I'm considering Sanchez over Cutler, but it's a mortal lock that Cutler throws two picks and fumbles at least once.

Cutler will probably pad stats in garbage time. That said, I could see PHI winning comfortably and Sanchez producing the same stat line with less risk.

Did I just say that?

Considering starting him over Dalton...... Not quite able to pull the trigger yet.

Still feels like Dalton can go off tonight with AJ back.

Regret imminent--> :topcat:

I'll guess he's starting for a lot of Luck, Brady, and Rivers owners.
Yep. Starting him along side Roethlisberger over Mettenburger in a start 2QB dynasty with Luck on his bye.

I think Sanchez is better than given credit for. I dont think the Jets have ever been a haven of QB development. I have more faith in Kelly.

Projected team total for Philly is about 27, though as a favorite sometimes that means more for the RBs. Bears team total comes out to about 23 but if the team is behind as projected that could help passing stats garbage time time.

R. Wilson is top-5 in ppg. What's the logic here? He upset you the past two weeks?
Agreed. 3 out of the last 4 weeks have been painful so I kind if get it, but Wilson is 4th in points per game for me and playing the Giants who have a banged up defense that recently lost MLB Jon Beason (toe) and DT Cullen Jenkins (calf).

Not criticizing, because I am somewhat tempted to start Sanchize myself, just curious if there are some legit reasons to do so or if it is based on play in one partial game and practice hype.

im starting him over cutler for this reason.. higher floor and same ceiling. dont want to rely on garbage time.

Wilson.... Is that bat#### crazy?
I don't think that is smart. I know Wilson has struggled recently but this week is setting up nicely for him. His OL is healthier, the Giants are horrible vs the pass because their secondary is in disarray. The Seahawks coaches have also mentioned week that they like the offense better when they play more up tempo so expect to see more uptempo play this week. The Giants are slightly better vs the run than the pass so I think this sets up for a very nice week for Wilson.

Sanchez should do well too and I actually am starting him over Cutler and Tannenhill this week in one league but I am playing Wilson this week in every league I have him.

I am struggling to decide between Wilson , Sanchez and Matt Ryan.

Have Ryan in now. I don't trust Wilson because they could smother Eli and pound the clock out like they seem to do at home.

I rank

Ryan

Sanchez

Wilson

What you guys thonk

Just asked Bloom Sanchez or Cutler.

Bloom Answer: Cutler.

That said, all three of Bloom, Dodds, Tremblay have Sanchez outproducing in their projections.

I'm starting him and Romo in a start two. In one league I'm playing an owner who has Romo but is starting Sanchez.

Probably going Sanchez over Cam and R.Wilson.
I have the Cam/Sanchez decision and I'm going Cam. If I didn't, I just have a feeling I'll be sitting there Monday night saying to myself "what was I thinking starting Mark F'N Sanchez over Cam?!?!".

In over Kaepernick
Kaepernick for me too.
x2 -- Sanchez feels safer than Kaepernick this week. Let's see:

More prolific offense in terms of yardage and points? Sanchez

Health of offensive line? Sanchez

Favorable matchup? Sanchez

Home game? Sanchez.

Could Kaepernick outscore Sanchez this week? Sure -- but I can live with benching Kaepernick (and watching him go off today) based on this rationale. If my team loses b/c Kaepernick crashes and burns, I'd be much angrier at myself than a loss from a poor performance by Sanchez.

Over Wilson & Romo. Romo I'm just too worried about reinjury or conservative gameplan. Wilson needs to show me the goods again before I can trust him.

Wilson's upside is always capped due to a run first offense and a smothering defense that usually has him playing with a lead. His whole appeal comes in those rare games (usually road) where his team falters, and he's behind and having to chuck it and or/run. The last two weeks this exact scenario has played out and he hasn't performed. So combine his potential limited upside with his recent play and I'm just not putting him out there till I see it again.

So Sanchize it is. And probably next week too with Wilson @ Chiefs. I expect Chip Kelly to be kind of a jerk and show the world that HIS system his the best, regardless of QB, and let Sanchez chuck it.
