IMO - Brett Favre doesn't want to be a Jet. (1 Viewer)

Backpedaling 101 in this thread.
It's "backpedaling".And if you're referring to me, no I'm not.

Last week and the weeks leading up to it, he looked like a lost puppy. I made no predictions about this week.

If anything's going on, it's revisionist history.
Um, okay. If that is what you want to believe.
Theismann and Florio might be tools, but they saw the same thing that I did.I don't mind if you guys disagree, but calling my opinion stupid is absurd.

I can't help but be entertained by this thread, I said sarcastically that he should be acting thrilled that his team lost two tough games....

Now he sets a personal high for passing TDs in a game and looks like a little kid on Christmas.

Cheers

Actually - If you went to training camp and saw the insider shows and interviews he looked more like a kid in a candy store and the players and practices have been at an All-Time excitement level.... He's been a sparkplug of energy at practices and players just love being on the same field and watching him work....I'm sure 90% of your "Body Language" feelings are coming from the MNF loss as well as the press conference when he signed when he didn't sleep for a long while and was being whisked all over NY....

Maybe we should have a "Body Language and Feelings" forum?

Again, I swear I saw Peterson Mouth "I Freaking HATE minnesota, I wish I was some place where I could win a SUPER BOWL with a competent Head Coach!!!!".... Frerrotte, looked like he wanted to join a Chess team. IMO.

And like I said before, they'd be right. Here I thought it was just Packer fans that were over the top in their support of their team.

Theismann and Florio - ARE YOU FREAKING KIDDING ME!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Florio has a "report" every week on something negative about the Jets...

Theismann - Yurrr... IMO he didn't look like he wanted to be a Skin that night they carted his ### off the field

The point is, I'm not the only one that saw it.Whatever. Have fun cheering on Favre and the Jets.

You think I'd be cool if I started such a thread or do you think it would be stupid? As for supporting my team - I said All along it was one week at a time and a process - This discussion has little to do with supporting my team and more to do with what I think was a real stupid thread:

"Favre wanted to win a SB, that's why he wanted to come to the Vikings :YAY: but, he's stuck with the Jets and looks like he wants to quit." :football:

I don't think it would be stupid at all. I don't have a problem with people providing their points of view based on what they observe. It's apparent that you do, though. It's bordering on LHUCKSian.

Stick to your guns, Andy. The fact is that Favre did not appear to be thrilled earlier in the season. THis week, on the field he did. He played very well. Althought the coaches took criticism for "dumbing" down the offense for Favre, it appears to have worked. All of the national talking heads seem to be careful not to jump on Favre. Before the game they criticized the Jets coaching staff saying that you don't have to "dumb down" the offense for Favre -- he's a Hall of Fame QB.

The fact is that he is a great QB that played essentially in one system his entire career. New coaches came into GB and adapted to him, not the other way around. His play yesterday indicated to me that both he and the coaches may be turning the corner. We will see as they play tougher Defenses, but they did do well.

In NY, he was having to learn the system and he did not appear to be overly thrilled with that.

Now on the field yesterday he looked pumped. He still did not look to be the same BF we are used to seeing after the game, but it was an improvement over the prior weeks.

The emotions I'm seeing from Favre this year are no different than what I saw from him in Green Bay. Most highly competitive guys look happy when winning and depressed when losing.
