2025 Las Vegas Raiders thread - ☠ Mork and Brady - will they find a new way to screw this up or will they stick with what they know? ☠ (25 Viewers)

I mean... I get being down and feeling like a repeatedly beaten dog but damn the "we suck, always will suck and sucky suck" gets wearing when it already sucks to watch the team.

Yea... I get it. We are losing games and this is the same song being sung for 20+ years but damn.

If I want that in my life, I can go to one of the Facebook Raider groups.
People are allowed to voice their opinion. That’s kind of the point of these things whether it makes you feel warm and fuzzy or not.
Which would include me, no?
You were the one that stated you are unhappy hearing with the negative opinion of others. Nobody said anything to you about voicing your opinion.
So, I am allowed to voice my opinion whether it makes you feel warm and fuzzy or not, right? If so, then you did the same you are accusing me of though a whole lot more direct.

I did not. I only said everyone gets to voice their opinion. I never complained about any opinions as you did.
Ok, got it, you were affirming my "right" to express my opinion on some of the opinions expressed regardless if it made you feel warm and fuzzy. Thank you, I appreciate it.
I have no idea what you are talking about. You complain when there are too many negative comments about one of the worst teams in the NFL for the past 20 years. I stated that people share their opinions on a message board and it’s not up to you to determine what is said. I don’t care what you say about the team. I’m not trying to control anyone’s comments.

I don’t know how anyone could feel warm and fuzzy about this team as it continues to spiral downward. The great WR that cost a couple of early draft picks a couple of years ago just forced his way out to go to the Jets! If that doesn’t show how low this the organization is viewed by the players, I don’t know what will.
Clearly you are.

I am done with this though, in as much as "opinions in comments". No point in going back and forth.
The problem is you have no argument. I NEVER tried to control the narrative of anyone’s comments. That was you and only you. If you don’t like fans being negative about one of the worst teams in the NFL over the last 20 years, you probably shouldn’t discuss the Raiders.

PS. The Raiders suck.
I don't know a lot about the Raiders, but one thing that sticks out like a sore thumb is they didn't prepare well for life after Carr. I don't understand that if they wanted to win. My guess is they didn't and are preparing a different direction for QB from the 2025 draft. Otherwise, they don't seem to have a clue.

Getsy needs to be moved out of the stadium. I don't expect it to happen this year. I agree with Chaka that Pierce and Getsy is a recipe for disaster with a rookie QB. I don't have faith in either to handle a rookie QB properly. If your HC is not an offensive guy that is qualified to develop a rookie QB then your OC better be up to that task.
Unless there is a huge turnaround on the offense from here on to the end of the season, I have no doubt that the Raiders will fire Getsy. I believe Getsy was a "well.... who else are we going to hire?" kind of hire after Kingsbury left us a little high and dry.

I think Getsy gets until the bye week to show improvement, and then he’s out.
Don’t we have a hundred “consultants” on the staff with loads of coaching experience ? (maybe just head coaching and not OC).
Getsy needs to stay all season. LV needs a high draft pick to snag a QB and keeping Getsy will ensure the losses pile up. Trading away good players will also help the tanking/rebuilding process. That’s not going to make fans happy but it’s the right move.

If anyone remembers... this is what I begged an answer from from those who wanted Carr gone. What is the plan? Pretty Noodle was obviously not a serious replacement... even if he actually was able to be somewhat serviceable as a QB he was a clear downgrade from Carr and not a long term answer.

It isn't easy to get a QB. You have to take a hard swing.... hit a home run and you can turn an org around like Texas. Miss and you are the Panthers or Browns. You either need to spend a high draft pick, send a lot of picks to move up or spend a ton of money. Draft and miss and it can and will set your organization back. Picj and get jt wrong, you end up like the Panthers. Trade or sink a ton of money into FA and miss, you end up the Browns.

There was no plan. McD was a disaster and the biggest part of that disaster was having Carr leave for nothing in return and not having a viable plan to replace him.

This was painfully obvious before any of it happened.

:lmao: Carr talk 2 years later. :lmao:

Can we do ruggs next? And then rehash draft mistakes. Cause you can’t talk ruggs without bringing up draft mistakes! And that just naturally leads into Gruden talk! :pickle: and then the best one of all, the nfl has it out for the raiders! This is gonna be so much fun! :sadbanana:

This team is a debacle. Has been for 20 plus years. Comparing them to the panthers and the browns isn’t an insult. It’s reality. And both those teams beat the raiders this year. With their mistakes at qb :ptts:

Why do we stay in this abusive relationship ? lol
Same reason I have with the Colts since 1965. A true fan is one that sticks with their team through thick or thin. How do you think I felt after Johnny Unitas and before Bert Jones? Or after Bert Jones and before Peyton Manning? The last one having one exception, the 1995 Colts miracle season with Jim Harbaugh. Obvious good and bad times after Manning. The Raiders have a rich history of success and will again. But whether that's in the near future or not, real fans still remain loyal and hope. Nothing worse than a bandwagon fan, or worse, one that switches teams they root for based on success or failure.

Let's face it, we are hardly the only fan base that feels like this:

Bears, Browns, Jets, Steelers, Jags, Cowboys, Titans, Broncos, Giants, Commanders (until this year), Panthers, and the Cardinal fans are all tired of their teams commitment to sucking :wall:

All our ****ty teams could field an all star team and still struggle to beat the top teams :bag: ok not really but it's not too far off

I have NO sympathy for the Steelers. Not because of our historic rivalry but they have been consistently good.... more consistent than any other team with no losing seasons in like 1,000 years or something close to that. And wah wah wah... we don't have a SB in a while so Tomlin sucks. Great. He sucks. Fire him because I would kick you all in the face and not feel bad about it to get a chance at Tomlin as our HC.

Please don't fight guys. I doubt either of you intended to but, this feels like friendly fire. There is plenty of misery on the field for us all to share a healthy slice.

EXCELSIOR!

Who’s our next QB? Anyone watch college ball and can name the top 5 QB prospects?

Come on. If it's not Shedeur Sanders and the circus that implies then it's no longer the Raiders.

Shadeur Sanders
Carson Beck
Quinn Ewers
Jalen Milroe
Cameron Ward

I went back and looked at our offensive staff. We have other options with OC experience that I forgot about.

Edgar Bennett actually did OC for the Packers 2015-2017

Scott Turner was OC for Washington 2020-2022

And Joe Philbin with a couple of stints with the Packers as recent as 2018

If Getzy stays , i found the Raiders RB , they just have to trade for him.

Sean Tucker wins with patience, footwork, and lateral agility. Tucker might not have the most explosive jumpcut, but when combined with these other attributes, it’s more than sufficient. Tucker is well suited for a zone-heavy run scheme. He’s at his best on outside zone and stretch runs where he can utilize his speed on cutbacks or beat defenders to the edge after building up some steam. Tucker has decent vision. He can sometimes hesitate at the line, but it’s not a consistent issue. He’s patient in allowing his blocks to set up well before exploding upfield. Tucker is a check-down option only in the passing game. He never crested 1.22 yards per route run or a 56.2 PFF receiving grade. Tucker could be slotted into a committee backfield in the NFL as the early-down complement to a pass-game specialist back.

If there's any justice at all in the world, Adams will blow out his hammy--both his hammies--on, say, the fourth play of the game this Sunday.

Only thing is a zone and wide zone are two different things. There is also inside and outside zone. I will freely admit I don't have it all figured out myself and only know a little after I heard how we were switching from zone to wide zone during the off-season.

I don't think a player adapt at zone would automatically be a good fit in wide zone. Perhaps that explains Zeus production dropping from last year.

Gonna need O linemen that do this well also. So dumb

Up until this year I have been optimistic in general concerning the Raiders. Watch every game no matter what and have never rooted for them to lose. This team might be the hardest to watch of any team in the last 20 years and that's saying something. The best thing would be for the losses to pile up though. I can't say I'll be rooting for them to lose, but I won't be taking the losses very hard.

Yep, time to get a top 5 pick and draft our QB of the future finally.

Miami QB Cam Ward has been very impressive. He's the leader in the clubhouse right now as far as who I would like to see them draft.

The problem with us sucking and getting a higher draft pick to take our QB of the future (which this team MUST do next year) I worry that we’re going to lose Maxx just like we did Mack. Maxx has got to be fed up being a generational player on a continuously sinking ship.

the problem with that is the o line is still going to be a mess so it doesn’t matter who is back there. Oh and out wr’s are who again?

Ok. See you in 2026 then. ;)

If I didn't get back immediately since my last "Why are you still Raider fans?" posts, well, I mean your season is cooked, the QB's are horrid, you have fans wanting to trade Maxx Crosby (and that isn't out of the question now since they ain't going anywhere and lost to the Rams and at the bottom of any highlight package, if they even show any highlights, because there ain't any), and the whole "listen to Maxx Crosby because he chose a true Raider in Antonio Pierce for head coach who grew up a Raider" now has a new wrinkle in Tom Brady as minority owner, who grew up a 49er fan.

When it comes to the Raiders, ya gotta let the season play out. Even though your season is cooked already. But that's the "Raider Way" I guess.

How’s the 9ers do today?

I'm a rival Chargers fan, not a Raiders fan, but I think you coming into this thread periodically to troll Raiders fans is pathetic.
