Is anyone rolling with Matt Schaub this week? (1 Viewer)

Just wondering what other owners are doing. Warner and McNabb are on byes, so I know other owners must be looking as well. ESPN, CBS, and others all have this guy in top 10. Out of the four weeks he's started, he has only had one game.

The only thing that scares me this week is that the Texans will go to a huge early lead and just run the ball all game. Any thoughts? The Texans defense is not great, but do the Lions have enough offensive power to make this game competitive to keep Schaub throwing?

I am strongly considering rolling with Schaub over Cutler this week. Schaub has outscored Cutler the past two weeks in my league's scoring format, and I am a bit hesitant to start Cutler on Monday without knowing how much of his supporting cast (Royal, Scheffler, and Stokely) will play.

I'm starting Schaub with confidence over Eli. Was lucky enough to start Schaub for his first good game due to Eli's bye, but I wanted to see another solid outing before putting him into rotation. Last week showed it was no fluke and Schaub can be a starting FF QB. I plan on rotating him in a QBBC from here on out.

Let's put it this way -- if you aren't starting Schaub vs. the Lions, why is he on your roster?

I'm starting him over another top-10 QB.

The Texans don't have the running game to just ditch the passing game, regardless of score. They are pass-first team similar to Denver. This bit them in the ### against the Colts, but Detroit is not the Colts.

I'd say Schaub's floor in this game is 220 & 1 TD, and his ceiling is another 300+ & 3TDs. I like those odds.

Having a hard time benching Rivers for him as I will also be relying on Slaton as a RB2. Still considering it though.

Starting him over Delhomme and Campbell - which isn't that far of a stretch by any means.

Could happen, but I wouldn't try to overthing the matchups since you never know how the game will turn out.Starting Brees over Schaub (duh) despite the less favorable matchup.

I'm struggling with this very decision. Remember that Burress is back for Eli, and Eli seems like he's a better producer of passing TD's than is Schaub, whose performances the last two weeks were primarily based upon big yardage totals. I also think Slaton could go off this week against that defense. It's a tough decision.

with mcnabb on a bye, I expect big things from Schaub this week. Orton look like a pro bowler 2 weeks ago against Det.

Starting him with confidence!!!!!!

Really? I'm not thinking twice about it. Not with Eli being slightly banged up. As someone said, Schaub's floor is 200/1 with a 300/3 upside. And as I said before, if you are own Schaub and are hesitant to start him this week, just trade him because he shouldn't be on your roster.

I never understood this thinking. So what if they get out to a HUGE early lead? Who do you think is going to put those points up to get that huge early lead? Probably Schaub as you rack up fantasy points.

Warner's on a BYE, so I'm going with Schaub this week. I'm not sure I worry overly much about the blow-out aspect of it, but, even with that scenario, Schaub may have enough by halftime to justify the start anyway.

The top 2 QB's this week in my mind are Brees and Schaub. Starting Schaub with MAXimum confidence! AJ looks unstoppable!

I just made the switch to Schaub over Cutler. Teams in the west that travel east don't fare well, although this may be different with a Monday night game.I really only had Schaub on my roster to cover the bye week, so this wasn't really a week I was planning on playing him.

Burned my #1 WW pick on Schaub after Romo's injury. Regardless of whether or not Romo plays this week, I am going with Schaub against Det.

Yeah, I know you said it before and it sure doesn't add much to the conversation, especially when having a guy like Schaub to cover for injury risk and bye weeks are equally good considerations. I will look more into Eli's injury though. That does concern me.

Really? You can't imagine a scenario where starting Schaub isn't such an easy decision? Here's one. I have Schaub and Rogers, who I anticipate will be involved in a high scoring shootout with Indy. I don't know who I'm starting yet, but I sure as hell wont be trading Schaub if Rogers get's the call.

This is also my dilemma-- Brees or Schaub. He's on my roster as a quality backup so no, I won't be trading him away- and Brees has been simply unstoppable and ultra consistent. Probably rolling with Brees but Schaub against Detroit is juicy.....

Not telling you what to do with your squad but Rodgers will likely be handing off the ball more than usual vs. Indy. The Colts are #6 vs. the pass and Rodgers has a bad wing.

Starting him as a bye week fill-in for Warner. Really hoping he comes close to where the rankings have him for the wee. Not just FBGs but everyone has him top 5.

I'll clarify: If you have Schaub as a clear injury/bye week backup to a stud like Brees or Rodgers or whoever, then yeah, hold on to the guy for insurance. But if you have Schaub in a QBBC, starting him is a no brainer.
