A HS male student aged 16-18 nailing a hot teacher, is he a victim?

Maybe my wife didn't take my balls from me, maybe others feel differently from me... My entire HS education I wanted to nail one of two teachers, would've been a story I told forever... Thought I had a shot with my soph math teacher, others thought I had a shot too, but I couldn't close

Yeah, I was talking straight (not stat, as in slang "straight") rape laws. Not anything to do with teacher/student and power relationships. I didn't convey that well.

My point is, generally, we even legally -- in this protective day and age -- think of 16-18 year-old males as able to freely consent.

Because we can't admit gender differences anymore. We have to create false equivalence across all categories. It's a weird modern social disorder.

Yeah, I get all my news from BarstoolSports.

Your poll is flawed. You list a range from 16-18. Some statutory laws included 16 and 17 year olds. At 18, I see them as being adults and they are free to make their own decisions.

if people can't realize there is a double standard point of view when it comes to this (boy/girl) then that is there problem....it's kinda like the whole "n" word thing.....

when teachers enter that profession, that is rule #1 no matter what gender.....

and bottom line, because of that, if they are willing to cross the line of rule #1, the ones that do, especially the hot ones, have some issues if they feel the need to enter into this type of relationship......it has little to do with sex, as the hot ones could be getting banged every night if they wanted to....

So would you say that the level of wrong is the same for the male and female teacher? I mean they're both in a position of power compared to the student. Plus the student isn't fully matured.

EDIT: When I was in school girls weren't reviled for having sex. In fact those were usually popular girls. So I'm not sure I agree with the ashamed/embarrassed thing.

I doubt if there is that much stigmatism with that today, especially if the male teacher is decent looking.

Victim?* In the traditional, philosophical definition I'd say no. However, I don't necessarily have a problem with the teacher being charged or fired or whatever for the deterrent purposes.

*I'm also assuming everything about the sex was consensual. I.E. a scenario where a normal 17 year old dude somehow finds himself in a position to bang his teacher that he probably masturbates to at night.

This is where I tried to differentiate above, because I believe the OP is referring more so to the traditional (not legal) definition of "victim."

I'm in the majority who thinks there isn't a victim here. However, that doesn't mean I oppose criminalizing this type of conduct. I'm in favor of criminalization for both reasons you have stated, even though in a minor subset of circumstances like this one I find no victim.

• What doe she look like?
• Do you have pics?
• Is she on the pill?
• How are you not getting an A in her class?
• Does she have any friends?

I'm not sure where I fall on this issue honestly. 16 year old having sex with another 16 year old who cares...

It's more of an issue of a teenager having sex with an adult.

Pretend with no teacher/student relationship your 16 year old daughter is having sex with a guy in his 30s do you have a problem with it? Pretend your girl is the initiator and is having sex because she wants to/enjoys it.

The difference IMO is penetration. Also, female virginity and sexuality is more sacred than that of a male. I don't think it's even close to the same thing.

I dated a girl when I was a college sophomore who was a substitute teacher for our gym class my senior year of HS.

When I was a senior in HS, I was 16 or 17. She was our sub for a few days and was 23 or 24...We ended up meeting again at a party after my freshman year of college (18 at the time, she was 25), and dated for about 9 months. I can't say that I felt markedly more mature in the year or so that passed, and I certainly wasn't a "victim."

Scary to think she's like 43 now...
