I'm holding bc I believe in his talent. But if you are deep at rb no need to hold now, if you have greater needs.thoughts? He's got a bye coming up and then he's back to 3rd string.

he's got one more week to make his case that he shouldn't be 3rd string.thoughts? He's got a bye coming up and then he's back to 3rd string.
You must not be familiar with Tate. He will find himself back on the trainer's table in no time!Droppable in redraft.thoughts? He's got a bye coming up and then he's back to 3rd string.
i watched it as i live in cleveland. both looked fine. i thought west in particular made some nice plays, esp the td.Be interested in any comparisons between West and Crowell from those that had a chance to see the New Orleans game. See that Crowell's YPC was a bit higher, but hard to tell how West looked from a stat sheet . . .
Isaiah Crowell rushed for 55 yards and a touchdown on 11 carries in the Browns' Week 3 loss to Baltimore.
He was far more efficient than Terrance West, averaging 5.0 YPC compared to West's 3.0, but was not involved in the passing game and handled one fewer carry than West. Crowell and West will now enter a Week 4 bye with Ben Tate (knee) tentatively due back in Week 5. Fantasy owners dealing with bye-week crunches may have to part with Crowell. He's the Browns' No. 3 tailback.

If he only got 1 carry less than West yesterday, what does that say about his role going forward?Crowell isn't going away.
It is a bit weird that this 3rd string RB has astronomically outproduced another 3rd stringer, often inactive, on the west coast......yet this thread is only 6 pages long..."lead back next year.
plan accordingly.
Don't know that it will take that long. He finished game 3, so maybe he is already past West. He is a much more decisive runner than West and his acceleration up field is much better. I think he will lead them in carries this year.lead back next year.
plan accordingly.
You don't have Tate huh?I wish Tate would go away. He's about to make a pretty good fantasy situation a lot more muddy.
Unfortunately I have the whole three headed monster on my team. You don't have Tate huh?I wish Tate would go away. He's about to make a pretty good fantasy situation a lot more muddy.
Just imagine how Christine Michael owners feel. At least Crowell is able to show what he can do in an actual game. I wonder if a Michael owner would trade for Crowell straight up...Oh its downright ugly (imho) Crowell looks the best of all of em, and still is 2nd fiddle OR anything but the bellcow..
Good things are worth waiting for though, and it should be quite the show!

probably not, because they are too stubborn, most dyno owners areJust imagine how Christine Michael owners feel. At least Crowell is able to show what he can do in an actual game. Trust. The team trusts West, he'll have gotten more reps in practice, and is potentially better in pass protection (last one's a guess, I don't watch entire Browns games).biju said:I'm not terribly concerned about Tate coming back. He hasn't proven he can stay healthy and I think he'll be on limited snaps going forward as part of a rotation in the backfield. I am however quite shocked West is still getting a majority of the carries (even if by a slim margin). Having watched all of the carries to date (thanks NFL Rewind!) I think it is pretty clear who the best runner on the team is.
crowell took over in the 2nd half of the raven game. he started the 2nd half and played on 18 snaps to west's 11. 2 snaps there was no rb. that is by my count. crowell played in all situations, including passing downs. it sure looks like he has forced at least a 5050 split and is trending to taking over the larger portion.Trust. That is a great call.Given the rash of injuries at the RB position and suspect play throughout the league, I could see a team making a trade for Tate. His contract is very reasonable and the Browns suddenly are deep at the position.
Sure seems like it right??That is a great call.Given the rash of injuries at the RB position and suspect play throughout the league, I could see a team making a trade for Tate. His contract is very reasonable and the Browns suddenly are deep at the position.
Yeahhh I believe that I drafted Christine, but anyway that's exactly why this situation is frustrating. Its a sorta been there and done that (still doing it, two fold now)Just imagine how Christine Michael owners feel. At least Crowell is able to show what he can do in an actual game. His value is in direct proportion to what his perceived risky of injury is, i think. this may come down to the variance between FF and NFL. personally, i think teams would like to avoid drama, dischord in the locker room. in this day and age in the NFL RBs aren't valued the way they once were after all. get something for him and move on maybe.Sure seems like it right??That is a great call.Given the rash of injuries at the RB position and suspect play throughout the league, I could see a team making a trade for Tate. I kinda hope my Brownies did do something like that and got a decent pick. Some late crap like a 5th and I say hang on to Tate. It's a long long season.
Looks like somebody is on boardBloom is banging the ever-loving poo out of the drum for Crowell. Love it!Looks like somebody is on board
Sigmund Bloom @SigmundBloom 10m
And now we are seeing some signs that #browns recognize what they have in him. May not take injuries for Crowell to climb that mountain.
Sigmund Bloom @SigmundBloom 1m
@OrdioMongo CLE looks like they may have the best running game in the league and crowell's talent can create its own opportunity
Sigmund Bloom @SigmundBloom 6m
with no remorse RT @Kripple1301 drop Gerhart for Crowell?
Sigmund Bloom @SigmundBloom 9m
crowell over tate, yes RT @DcmRulz even over Ben Tate? (In a league where someone just cut him)
Sigmund Bloom @SigmundBloom 12m
I don't know if events needed for Crowell to get lead role will unfold, but if they do, season-changer. FF RB1.

If you're asking me Crowell or _____ on the WW this week, 99% answer is crowell. donald brown over him, that's about it.
I'm in the same boat, I think it might be worth holding all 3 to see how this backfield plays out. The starting RB is going to be an every week RB1 behind that stellar O-line and revamped offense. I just pray to god that it doesn't turn into a Falcons backfield situation where nobody has any value.Got Crowell and West currently and Tate is sitting on the waivers having been dropped after his injury. Is it worth grabbing him and locking up the whole trio ? Don't have a lot of room so preferably not but will do it if it's a good idea
/agree!Given the rash of injuries at the RB position and suspect play throughout the league, I could see a team making a trade for Tate. His contract is very reasonable and the Browns suddenly are deep at the position.
I would consider "What IF's" scenario's. The Odds of being able to reacquire West, may be steep. IF you truly want a piece of the Browns ground game. ie. West got a taste, and may have acquired a desire. Theres a chance someone provides a relief role, which enables other possibilities..I am all aboard the Cleveland run game, I was lucky enough to snag Crow off waivers for $3 this week, but now I have Tate, West, and Crow......LOL.
I think i might drop West.
From what I have seen, Crowell is a monster, hits the holes hard and is FAST. In a keeper league, he could be a monster steal
I would ask the Guru's on Twitter, and try an bump Tate threads (w/ any useful links) to gauge reaction(s) Im pretty sure you can disregard my beliefs, but Im not someone who would be too quick to dismiss a "healthy" B. Tate. When healthy, its not like a lot of other NFL Teams don't know the potential of Tate. (Yes, I did use the word potential which connotates the injury risk, along w/ performance)Got Crowell and West currently and Tate is sitting on the waivers having been dropped after his injury. Is it worth grabbing him and locking up the whole trio ? Don't have a lot of room so preferably not but will do it if it's a good idea
