This is where I'm at with Shoelace/Crowe. One guy is a bell cow with four solid weeks of production coming off a bye; the other guy has loads of talent also, but could see touches diminished for a myriad of reasons (fumbling, game flow/hot hand).Same problem although I don't have Robinson. I'm strongly leaning toward Crowell over Anderson AND Ellington and in another league over Ingram. Thing is we could be screwing ourselves siting guys who get almost all the touches for a guy that may wind up with less carries than West. We just don't know...Gordon in team over Beckham at flex right now.
Crowell is on the bench behind Denard Robinson and CJ Anderson but I'm wavering a little with CJ and Crow due to the juicier matchup
Pretty tough to say. Pettine has been unpredictable about usage. Odds for Crowell to be a workhorse down the stretch have improved with Tate's dismissal. Isaiah has to demonstrate he can be trusted; HC defended his fumble last week saying it was a great hit, anybody would have fumbled. We've heard all kinds of reasoning in Cleveland this year: this guy practiced better, that guy had the hot hand, we wish one of the backs would separate themselves from the other(s). What we haven't seen from the Browns coaches is commitment to one guy on a consistent basis. Are you guys expecting a full out workhorse or 50/50 committee this week? Main reason why I'm nervous to start him. There hasn't been any predictability with the browns backfield
Yes. Although I think both can put up #'s that could be a solid RB2.So Terrence West still sits at #1 on the CLE depth chart. Is this a full blown RBBC 50/50 split you think?
last 2 games there were reports a few hours prior to kickoff on who the starter would be. both times that runner was given the bulk of the workload. hopefully this week follows suit.Same problem although I don't have Robinson. I am going to wait until I hear the announcement about who is starting before kickoff tomorrow then put that guy in my lineup. Are you guys expecting a full out workhorse or 50/50 committee this week? I guess he believes that neither guy is any good and won't be around in 3 years. How so?William Green vs. Lee Suggs all over again.
No, I was just re-living the old thread about Green and Suggs. I actually own Crowell and think he could be a keeper.I guess he believes that neither guy is any good and won't be around in 3 years. How so?William Green vs. Lee Suggs all over again.
I really don't think so at all. I could've owned either guy but to me Crow is a good bit better and the team knows it. The ONLY thing that's held him back is the fumbles and the coach is now making excuses for him. They want him to succeed.Think this is a 50/50 split from here on out.
Allen's been horrible all year. He was a rook last year and the whole team was hurt. It happens but don't keep chasing the past. I'd start both guys over Alken. Not to make this a WSIS post, but on this exact topic:
If you have both West and Crowell (many owners of one have the other as well), do you start both?
I hate the idea of Starting Crowell, sitting West for keenan allen etc, then seeing it backfire.
We may get a hint pre-game from Browns' media (Grossi) about who will start and how they will be used, but it is still a total crapshoot. Crowell seems the most likely right now to start and get the 66% job, but he is a bad fumble away from being buried too.Not to make this a WSIS post, but on this exact topic:

This. For the past two weeks it breaks on twitter who is starting maybe 15 minutes or so before the game. Whoever that is should get around 20 touches with the other guy getting around 10.We may get a hint pre-game from Browns' media (Grossi) about who will start and how they will be used, but it is still a total crapshoot. I'm starting him this week because of the good matchup but I know I am playing with fire. Not to make this a WSIS post, but on this exact topic:

Good points. The Atl D has fared better against RBs over the past two weeks, but it must be pointed out that was against Carolina and Tampa Bay (both road games). Atlanta D has been especially vulnerable to receiving backs, it seems. Crowell is still a work in progress as a receiving back, but he appears pretty natural catching the ball. This matchup may not be as great as it seems.
ATL run d on the season is not that great, but looking over recent games...especially at home...they have stiffened up.
Not sure this is the slam dunk matchup everyone is thinking.
I'm debating Ellington or Crowell and right now leaning towards the guy I know who gets all the touches.
Wow.I have the same choice but I just cant sit Ingram even vs. Balt. He is going to have alot of touches.I think the x-factor here regarding Crowell is his return to his home state, Georgia, and the site of his aborted college career at the University of Georgia. I believe these behind the scene things contribute mightly to a players motivation in a game where emotion is paramount.
And don't think the coaching staff is unaware of this fact , his history and this motivation. Pettine has went out of his way to pump up this kids confidence and should realize its importance to his young star.
I am starting him over Ingram versus a tough Ravens run defense....it's time to "feed the crow!"
Point taken but who says I am supporting data?......in making lineup decisions we need to look at a variety of factors to support a decision.....and then we still may be wrong lol!I don't think there is any data to support starting a player in games where they are "returning home".
Probably not but I applaud kencav for bringing it up. One more thing to factor in possibly.I don't think there is any data to support starting a player in games where they are "returning home".
Well have to do it then....."Feed the Crow!!!!!!"Isaiah Crowell is listed as the Browns' starting running back for Week 12.

I think starting a back like the Crow today depends on circumstances of YOUR fantasy matchup as well. The crow is explosive and offers a high upside but potentially low floor. A guy like Ingram against the Ravens is a safe play but unlikely to post above average numbers. If your opponent is stacked I feel the Crow's your man.....if you opponent is not looking so hot play it safe.Isaiah Crowell is listed as the Browns' starting running back for Week 12.

FWIW, I agree with this. Unfortunately for me, my opponent is projected to be within a few points of my projected score. :sigh: Screw it, gonna roll w/ Crow (leaving both Cincy RBs on the bench, so it's not like I have a slam dunk choice here).I think starting a back like the Crow today depends on circumstances of YOUR fantasy matchup as well. The crow is explosive and offers a high upside but potentially low floor. I've got the exact same 3-way tie and struggling just as much. Probably rolling with the Crow. One said:I'm with you guys.
Crow is a tough call today, especially next to Mason and Hill. No idea which one I'm starting today.
Have same one with Robinson in the mix. Going with Robinson and Anderson.Crow, Ellington or Anderson. That's my dilemma...
For those of you who need justification, here you go. I've watched this video about 25 times this morning and am frothing at the mouth. Ca-caw!!!When I'm hearing people trash on Crow this video always picks me up.
