Thanx to the FBG staff for being responsive to my request.

Year forward projections were submitted and should be live on the site. If not, check back soon and you'll be all set. Wynn and Morris have both been zero'd out and the other backs on GB and NE adjusted accordingly. Thanks.

Purely as an improvement suggestion, couldn't players put on IR be zeroed out same day that happens?

Definitely. We try to get those updated asap. This one just didn't happen asap.

Thanks, sounds like FBGs already has it covered then.

As long as you know his value, why is this relevant?
Ahem... something is on your nose
Not kissing up. I just never understand why people complain about such silly things. We all know the guy is out, so we don't play him. Is this really that complex?ETA: To put it to you another way...the Original post said that he had sent 2 PM's and made a post in the correct forum already. That is pretty extreme in and of itself, but I can "see" that. Then to post it in this forum? That would be like you making a mistake at work, someone telling your boss and then after your boss did not do anything about it they told you boss' boss and when they did nothing about it they decide to contact the CEO to be sure that your error was appropriately recognized. Obviously we are using a web world here where standard rules do not apply, but the post on this forum seems a bit extreme to me especially given that EVERYONE knows the guy is not playing.

You are right. I guess I am just glad that my customers are not like this. We all make mistakes, I probably would have been fired eons ago with customers like this.

Yeah. That and accuracy.

I didn't say you had a wrong expectation or anything. I completely understand paying for info vs research for those that work long hours or have issues come up in life or whatever. I have no probs here with either side of the argument

Guys I'm sure Bob and David value you standing up in their defense, but they really don't need your chivalry. In this business model sometimes the easiest way to get on the radar is to post here in the Shark Pool - most of the FBG staff spent a significant amount of time here. I sent two notes to keep this off the boards but I don't know if they were seen or not (I have absolutely zero problem with that, by the way). I posted in the "correct" forum for application issues, and Bob responded to me, but I didn't realize at the time that he did the forward projections (I thought Dodds did that). Also, due to a data error the update he put together didn't resolve the problem. So as of Saturday morning the data was still wrong - I wanted to make sure it was recognized and resolved. As to why I wanted it resolved, I value the forward projections and the opinions of the staff here. I use the LD, I read threads in the Shark Pool, I listen to the Audible and I watch the 5 Minute Drill. I am fairly certain that a few other people value those opinions as well. All I wanted was for those opinions to be accurately reflected.

I enjoy being patronized as much as you do.I did nothing to deserve it and I hardly posted anything supporting posting an incorrect ranking.

:coffee:I don't even use the lists they publish, but I am a subscriber. I find MDS's perspective strange, is all.

OK then.
Now you're gonna be wise? Geesh....where is it? where am I defending them? Quit being defensive, I was actually proving you had a point. You also might want to look at the part you snipped and the reply from the other poster as well

Actually, I thought I was capitulating. :goodposting: You posted that you didn't deserve to be patronized, and I quoted you implying that I pay for FBG to not think - believe it or not I didn't much care for that. If I took that out of context, then we're done here (as noted above, I was indending to surrender this argument).

Sorry you took it that way(really) but as I said, I understand life's issues come up, work long hours etc where you don't have time to research etc as a reason to not think so much. My wife and I are expecting a baby, I'm not hitting the blogger and team sites and usatoday and kffl and...from the hospital each day. I'm spending time with my wife and enjoying our new family member and looking for Joe and co to do my research that week. So, I understand what ya mean.

I'm sorry you took it that way

I agree with the complaint. Wynn has been placed on IR for days. Paying customers expect that ranking and projections reflect the fact that Wynn is on IR.
With all the information on this site, is it really important? The site can't be updated every second 24/7. If you know he is on the IR, why are you worried about projections for him?

I guess I see the original guys point here, it is not so much this player as other projections. What is the sense of releasing new projections if we are not even sure that they are updated? You would think it would be easier to update a player who is out for the year with a zero then to move someone's projections just a hair because of something that went on during the week. If the IR guy is not updated, what is to convince me that the minor adjustment has been made?I don't use the projections for anything more than reinforcement for what I want to do, but if others put a lot of stock into them, I can see where the concern is.

Thats ok, Lenny Williams has been the top-ranked DB on this week's cheatsheet all week - not bad for a guy playing in the CFL! There must be something in the US-Canadian conversion: 2 Canadian INTs = 1 US INT

Its a credibility issue - how do you trust the information when obvious flaws like this get through. It seems they are missing some type of quality control. Its easy to shrug off, as you should know better, so why worry about bad info. I think it si the other way around - if you can't get the obvious stuff right, why am I paying to hope you get the other stuff right?

No worries here to the previous posters in the thread. We do update/tweak the year forward projections and the weekly projections during the week after they are intitially released. Some weeks there aren't many tweaks that need to be made on the year forward stuff, while other weeks like this one, there are definitely injuries/news that have a more profound impact on that data.

I think everyone has a different perspective on these types of threads. The important takeaway is that we do our very best to keep the site's projections and other news updated and current. We had a data error this week that caused the updates I provided not to be effective on the site, when we thought they were.. but we caught it - and Wraith5's posts/PM - did help us run that down. No hard feelings here, we expect the same of ourselves.

On a side note.. Congratulations, Bri, and good luck with the baby. My wife and I are expecting as well, but not until end of April. She's an accountant, so hopefully our new one waits until after April 15th for all her clients' sake. :)
