It's a great week to start ....... (1 Viewer)

Let's try this - pick somebody that's probably not starting right now in most fantasy leagues and tell us who you think is a good play.

I think this is Santana Moss big day. Campbell appeared to be throwing the deep ball alittle better last week and now he's the only legit wide receiver.

HOU RB Adimchinobi Echemandu vs NO with Schaub throwing and AJ catching, HOU could have balanced offense.

BAL WR Clayton vs CLE with Boller tossing the ball

Croyle could provide spark to KC offense and probably playing catchup to INDY. Croyle can stretch the field with his stronger deeper throws and create more running room for Holmes and spread the field out for Gonzo, Kennison and Bowe.

He's only starting now because of the injury to A Peterson but Chester Taylor could have a few decent games with Oakland,NYGiants,Detroit,S.F.,Chicago and Washington left on the schedule.Taylor is a capable back and if the Vikes have any sense they should handle AP with kid gloves until he's ready to return. Whether that's a couple of weeks or next year who knows but I have AP in a couple of leagues and hope they don't play him until next year. Taylor could have some decent games from here on out. He's not AP but I think he could do a good job even if the Vikes QB's suck.

DAYNE

Ahman is out, Johnson is back, Schaub is back, I think that HOU offense will move the ball

M MORRIS

Against a poor CHI run defense, last week he did well, he's again home this week and I suspect another 100 yard game and score is very realistic

GRANT

another offense that'll move the ball

Dallas Clark

Indy's going to do whatever it takes to end their two game slide and Marvin's still out. Peyton will dial in Wayne and Clark all day against the KC secondary. Last time these two teams met, Clark caught 9 balls.

I don't think he really fits this thread.
Why not? He seems to be a strong example. He's had only one good game this season and yet people are strongly advocating starting him. I started him last week and am going with him again this week. He took advantage of a great matchup last week - even with McNair at QB - and I think he does well again this week. Had he not fallen down at the 1-inch line he would've had a huge game against the Bengals. I think Clayton has Top 20 WR potential this week.

great week to start Boller!
im in a start 2QB league and im optomistic that Boller can be a decent point producer .... mind you, i've had the unfortunate luck of drafting Alex Smith as well as Grossman and Tarvaris for backup. Ive also had stints of Griese, Harrington, and McCown on my team, so even 1 TD pass from Boller will make me estatic

I would imagine Clark is starting in most every fantasy league.

Pittman if you really need help in PPR. Graham is hurting. Pittman could really become a factor in the coming weeks.
I'm watching this one very closely. I'm not sure what to make of Graham's injury. If it isn't serious Pittman is only a RB3 in the largest of PPR leagues this week. But if the injury is more serious than we're being led to believe, he could be a very sneaky start this week. I think the Bucs are in a strong position to put up some big numbers at the RB position this week - it's just a question of whether Graham gets nearly all of them or if he's injured to the point where Pittman might steal a healthy amount.

Santana Moss. He's getting healthy and all the other Skins WRs are hurt. On top of that, he kills the Cowboys
Wow! No offense, but Moss is worthless this year. I know, I carried his sorry butt in 4 leagues until week 8!

Anything over 10 teams and most of the guys mentioned in this thread are starting

Forget the naysayers - there's good info in this thread. Good opinions. It's about signs that things might change.

I still like Santana Moss this weekend - I have him but have better options so I can't call his number.

And the Rams D is a good call.

Boeller has a great opportunity this weekend but i don't know if he can cash that ticket.

As for Mark Clayton - has anybody really documented the impact when Boeller starts - I see it mentioned but I'm not sure the impact is as big as people think. So are there stats hidden in one of the other threads?

Bernard Berrian. Rex could give this team a spark, and if he can find rhythym with Berrian both could be pretty valuable for fantasy teams.

And there was some good stuff in this thread. I'm not sure of all the hits and misses but Moss, Warner and the Rams were all hits.

Clayton and Boeller were big misses but opportunity is only have the battle.

We'll do another for next week.
