Talking a physcial? Strange I thought you took one LOL. I read this on the Eagles message board. Not sure how legit it is and Im listening to 610wip right now to see if I can confirm this. Go Shermanator

 
As a Packer fan I will say I do not believe Javon Walker is even close to as big a headcase as T O. Also as a Packer fan I hope this is not true and I would hate to loose Walker to the Eagles.

 
Just so you guys know, its an unsubstantiated radio report. I would be shocked if the Packers traded Javon to a conference rival. But if the Packers are soured on Javon, stranger things have happened

Radio now reporting Eagles have contacted Radio to inform them that Javon is not there, he is under contract and there are no plans for him to be visiting the Eagles.

Yeah - same radio - WIP. As soon as I saw this post I brought up the station via the internet www.610wip.com.Luckily, the very first thing I heard, after break, was that the station was contacted by the Eagles to discredit the JW visit to NovaCare. From what I was able to gather, it was a rumor started either by the Eagles Message Board or by a phone call to the station last night.

What I said initially was what the Eagles conveyed to the station about 15-20 minutes ago.

And it raises a big point - JW is under contract.

A player under contract isnt normally allowed to take a physical with another team until after a trade is agreed to. If negotiations are serious enough, a team may be allowed to talk to doctors or possibly even look at an injury but we will hear stories about a trade before we hear stories about a phyisical.

:goodposting: I just heard a sound bite of the owner of the Packs and he said he had no interest in trading Walker. He also said that with the lasted push by players to get traded by making threats of holds/demanding to be traded. With J. Walker this will not be the case, he's under contract, he'll fulfill that contract.

I just heard this not five minutes ago.

RUMORS FLY OF WALKER TO PHILLY

Talk radio in Philadelphia is abuzz with reports that disgruntled Packers receiver Javon Walker is on his way to town to meet with Eagles officials regarding a possible trade that would make him the new No. 1 wideout, a spot that used to be filled by a disgruntled receiver who was released on Tuesday.

Although we prefer mongering rumors to shooting them down, we can report with a high degree of confidence that this one ain't happening.

How do we know? First, a source with knowledge of the situation tells us that it's not happening. Second, Walker is still under contract with the Packers. Before he could talk to another team, the Packers would have to give him permission to attempt to work out a trade. Typically when such permission is given, the dude's agent crows about it in order to shake as many interested parties as possible out of the bushes (or, as they say in some parts, the "booshes").

So the rumors are wrong. (Gosh, it genuinely pains us to say that.)
