Jeremy Hill, RB (LVR) (1 Viewer)

Yeah, if Dez has been erratic, then so has everyone else
55, 103, 89, 44, 85, 63, 151, 30

Not the yardage totals of a stud FF WR IMO. I expected the guy to be dominating this year like Antonio Brown is and that is far from happening. TD's are saving him this season but I don't have confidence that will continue if Weeden is at the helm.
TDs have saved him his entire career...........ie............he is a good bet to score TDs.

So again, what WRs being started over Dez this week in order to even have to decide betweem Dez and Hill??

I mean, I would definitely consider playing HIll over Dez this week in non-PPR, but that doesnt answer my other question.

In non-ppr, a guy with "erratic" yardage totals who scores TDs sounds just fine to me.
Again...............not as confident the TD's come with Weeden at QB. No big deal dude, it is just FF. I would start Hill, you would start Dez. I think Hill is a safer bet to score a TD. We will see after this weekend if my hunch is correct. Good luck.
Even after you saw Weeden throw two in a row to Dez from the one yard line?

Seems like the QB is choosing to force feed Dez.

I have Hill and am playing him as my RB1 this week. I do not play names, I play upside and chance of production unless they are a stud. Who has a better chance to perform then that of an every down player who will get goal line looks against a bad team. I know Jax run D has been good lately, but they are still Jacksonville they will be down and the Bengals will control the clock.

That being said, to start him over a stud like Dez has me saying this to myself about your sanity. In a fantasy football sense I mean. Are you in panic mode or something?

Side note: Do people really think Romo is sitting out? I sure do not.
All I am saying is I think Hill will outscore Dez this week. I will get my sanity looked at. I will check in after both have played.
As I sing in "I'm Finding It Harder To Be A Gentleman" . . . "have a doctor come and visit us, and tell us which one is sane."

I see no problem with you being really high on Hill and having a gut feeling that he'll outscore Dez. I would just personally have a hard time sitting a talent like Dez unless I clearly see a situation that screams a better play is available. I certainly like the Hill play a lot this week--but I'm not sure I like it enough to sit a guy like Dez. However--and I hate to ask something that will take up some of your time to answer--but just to satisfy my curious mind--is there any chance I could ask what your roster looks like? If you are truly sitting Dez, I'm just thinking that your roster must be insanely amazing.

I don't own Hill. I was just responding to the guy who was debating between Dez/Hill. I do own Dez and he will be in my lineup. I wish everyone the best of luck with there magic football this weekend.

So, a less crazy but frankly more interesting conundrum: Hill or Rainey vs the awful run defenders on Cle.

I think both are really exciting. The Browns aren't likely to blow out TB, so the run game won't get shut down early. Sims seems interesting, but I don't see a rookie coming off an injury getting the Lion's share of the chances.

So, Hill or Rainey?

As stated earlier in the thread, about the McCoy/Miller/Hill trio, I have them in a PP 1st down reception league. I'm rolling with McCoy/Hill.

People starting Hill over Dez is flat out hilarious. The Jags aren't even a bad rushing defense.
I don't really think so much that it's the Jags rush defense is good, seeing that their pass defense if pretty bad.
They are 8th in the NFL allowing 4 ypc, and only 5 TDs on the ground. They aren't great, and the loss of Poz is a big hit. But they aren't near the bottom of the league in rush defense.

exact same issue I'm debating.

I originally suggested that Hill will score more points than Dez this week in non-PPR. Touchy subject apparently.
And you could easily be right, but it would take a really stacked roster for Dez to be the sit/start Flex question of the week. Most people would start both and sit someone else.

I think people are really saying its not even a question to bench Dez for Hill. No matter the league or scoring and no matter the matchup. I think its pretty cut and dry, no gray area and no reason ever, unless he is hurt, to say "Should I bench Dez for Hill."

Dez seems to be a touchy subject for you.

Is the long term fantasy plan to hope for good game today and then use as trade bait before or after the Thursday game? The assumption being to sell before Gio returns?

I'm playing Hill over Andre Williams, Tre Mason, and Crowell. But I'm not expecting a huge day. Jax rush D has been pretty stout lately.

The long term plan is to gauge Gio's injury and play it by ear IMO. Hip injuries can be finicky. I think Hill won't command good trade value so I'd hold him and hope he stays the starter.

Flexing him over Denard Robinson and M. Bryant in PPR. We'll see

Should be a good test for him. Jags are prolly right in the middle as far as run defense. Not a tough matchup but not an easy one either.
