Ha ha!LOL at the ridiculous projections for this guy today. I started him (also own Gio), but wasn't expecting fantasy greatness. I just hope he can play in the 2nd half and get me some yards
He is a talent! That was beastly
So you're saying he's the guy going forward?Boom!I know that the Bengals coaching staff really likes Jeremy Hill.

I gotta defend BF here. What exactly has he said that's been wrong? He said Hill would be basically useless because of Gio and that's pretty much what's happened so far.He is a talent! That was beastly
You have missed that in your caveman determination of things!!!

I sat Dez, Demaryius, Calvin, and Sayers for Hill. Guess that worked out okay.Great gutsy call by those members who said they would sit Dez for him. I started Hill in my flex over torrey smith--but I'm not sure I would ever sit a guy like Dez for Hill. Hill looked great today--but let's not forget about what Dez did. He had a backup qb that could barely throw a beach ball in the ocean throwing him the ball today--and he still managed to squeeze out a TD. I just don't know if I would ever have the juevos to sit a guy like Dez--but I'm also not the kind of person who is afraid to give props. Great call guys.
I generally agree with the overall premise that Hill is the superior runner between the tackles, but in spite of what his final numbers would suggest, I thought he was a relatively ineffective non-factor for a significant part of the game. He had something like 10 carries for 25 yards around the midway point of the 3rd quarter.Bernard will still be 1A when he comes back (for now), but remember these notes...
Hill rushed for more yards today than Bernard has in any game of his NFL career.
Hill rushed for 6.4ypc today behind the same line that Bernard has failed to rush for even 4ypc behind in 9 of his last 11 starts.
Bernard is a great multi-dimensional weapon, but Hill is just a better runner. In time, if Bernard doesn't improve his rushing ability significantly, I could see Hill becoming more the 1A with Bernard the 1B instead of the other way around.

People are going to go crazy over it, but this just wasn't the sort of dominating performance that a stat line like that usually indicates.
So are we just ignoring that you were touting Sankey as the clear lead dog of the class? Or was changing your user name your way of hiding from that part?I can't help but remember everyone that said the 2014 RB draft class was pedestrian.....
Looks like it was a stacked class to me...
Don't reallly care about proving a guy wrong, but the 15-18 person list of RBs he likes better even with Gio out and the Bengals facing the Jags at home as 11 pt faves seemed pretty silly at the time. The only data we get suggests it was wrong. Don't reallly disagree with his season-long take, but when Gio went down that should have killed his main premise for his skepticism. Instead, he dug his heels in against him being a good play this week. Being inflexible like that on a position or player is not good in fantasy IMO.I gotta defend BF here. What exactly has he said that's been wrong? He said Hill would be basically useless because of Gio and that's pretty much what's happened so far.He is a talent! There were some predicting big games, maybe not 150/2tds but i agree about not rubbing it in peoples faces.I love Hill, think he will be a great running back. I even thought he was going to blow up and he will against Cleveland Thursday.
But what is it with everyone and their 20/20 hindsight with those who did not?
Is it OK for people to be wrong than see the light? Guess not because so many are rubbing it in peoples faces like they knew this was happening. No one knew, if anyone claims they knew Hill was getting 150 and 2, I'm calling BS.
Welcome to the internet. I've taken heat for my comment yesterday, and I own it. But some tools here have felt the need to pile on. I'm o.k. with it, because I was wrong, but I think it shows what kind of insecure people there are here and on the interwebs in general. If Gio is out again week 10, even with the quick turn around, Hill should easily be a top 10 RB against that laughable Browns run D. So of course, in this week-to-week NFL, that means he'll struggle to compile 70 total yds.I love Hill, think he will be a great running back. I even thought he was going to blow up and he will against Cleveland Thursday.

LOL - 1st game he's ever started and he's peaked.I'm thinking he's peaked.
Inaccurate. He made a great cut at the LOS to get through two defenders with only one blocker in front. To have that size, speed, and the ability to cut it up the field on a dime is a unique skill set. Then to change speed, re-accelerate, and trash the last safety was a joy to watch!I generally agree with the overall premise that Hill is the superior runner between the tackles, but in spite of what his final numbers would suggest, I thought he was a relatively ineffective non-factor for a significant part of the game. sounds like somebody is a little salty they were late gettin' boarding the train and got left at the station.I love Hill, think he will be a great running back. I even thought he was going to blow up and he will against Cleveland Thursday.

It will go back to the way it was when Gio comes back, but IMO Hill is the better RB and Gio would make a better change of pace and 3rd down back. Better doesn't always win out however.I'm thinking he's peaked.
I disagreed with all of it.Smiley spam. The bane of discussion forums everywhere.
I'd ask what part you disagree with, but I figure if you had anything substantive to add to the conversation, then you probably would have led with that.
Why should it go back to the way it was? Why does Gio need to get the ball 18-20 times a game? Not only has this approach not proven to be effective, Gio has begun to get banged up.It will go back to the way it was when Gio comes back, but IMO Hill is the better RB and Gio would make a better change of pace and 3rd down back. Better doesn't always win out however.I'm thinking he's peaked.
Well, let's see who coaches the Bengals....Why should it go back to the way it was? Why does Gio need to get the ball 18-20 times a game? Not only has this approach not proven to be effective, Gio has begun to get banged up.It will go back to the way it was when Gio comes back, but IMO Hill is the better RB and Gio would make a better change of pace and 3rd down back. As much as I hate to say it, Gio needs to be the change-of-pace back. BUT, Gio needs to be used more creatively. He needs to get more receptions. Use him in the Reggie Bush role. Force feeding Gio up the middle 20 times a game doesn't help Cincy or Gio. Going back to the way it was seems like a poor coaching decision.
I don't think Hill killing Jax means much, but I do think they are taking notice if Gio's body not surviving the workload. Best thing for the Bengals is probably an even split, but that won't make fantasy owners happy. For the foreseeable future I'd say that's his ceiling. Gio isn't going anywhere for a long time. His value is tied to Gio's playing or not playing.LOL - 1st game he's ever started and he's peaked.I'm thinking he's peaked.
I don't trust Dalton to not check out of run plays and into pass plays. The question I have is whether both can be fantasy viable at the same time. I think so, but only if Hill gets 15-20 carries and Gio gets 4-5 catches a game.
Of course not. There isn't an RB in the league you'd ever predict to get 150 and 2. It's rare performance for an RB in the modern, pass-heavy NFL.I love Hill, think he will be a great running back.
That's ridiculous. Dalton can't throw the pass AND block the DB.Wait until Dalton hangs Hill out to get clobbered a few times like he did to get Bernard hurt.
He doesn't have to throw the ball that leads his receiver into getting lit up by the DB either which he did. That's ridiculous. Dalton can't throw the pass AND block the DB.Wait until Dalton hangs Hill out to get clobbered a few times like he did to get Bernard hurt.
Let's ignore the fact that he hasn't been useless so far, but for starters, that Hill is "roster poison" and has a "low ceiling". He then followed that up by saying he "stands by everything he has said" (which obviously includes those ridiculous statements), even after his monster game.I gotta defend BF here. What exactly has he said that's been wrong? He said Hill would be basically useless because of Gio and that's pretty much what's happened so far.He is a talent! That was beastly

He wasn't touched until the 10 yard line because he made a filthy cut around the LoS that about shook the defender out of his shoes.I generally agree with the overall premise that Hill is the superior runner between the tackles, but in spite of what his final numbers would suggest, I thought he was a relatively ineffective non-factor for a significant part of the game. One more game to help get me through bye weeks. I'm ok with that.@pauldehnerjr: RT @BrewsandBengals: @pauldehnerjr I may have missed this but is gio bernard good to play this thursday? // Won't happen.
Per Cincy beat writer.
All hill for one more game!

Dalton runs the offense fine. His problem is that he is just not an accurate passer.I don't trust Dalton to not check out of run plays and into pass plays. The question I have is whether both can be fantasy viable at the same time.
