Jordan Reed - TE - SF (1 Viewer)

Rotoworld:

Making his return from a Week 1 hamstring pull, Jordan Reed played on 35-of-65 snaps (53.8 percent) in Sunday's loss at Arizona.

Niles Paul played on 32 snaps as Reed was eased back into action. The athletic seam-stretcher still dominated the box score, going 8-92-0 on a team-high 11 targets. Paul had just 1-7-0 on two targets, proving just how wide the gap is here. Reed's playing time should continue to grow toward 70 percent or so, making him a mid-range TE1 weekly.

Reed looked good on the field yesterday. Got his head slammed once, went out, and came back in. The guy has talent; if he can only stay on the field.

He only played on half the snaps?

Was driving and listening on radio. Sounded like he had a big fourth quarter. Did he look good and back up to speed?

Great to see him return just as Donnell falls off a cliff. :)

That final 5 minutes of that game went kinda crazy. The Cars had the ball for something like 45 seconds and kept giving the Redskins chances and it did seem like Reed's numbers were quite inflated because of it. I WANT to think Reed is back and on the verge of top5 and all that but I'm just reporting how it felt as I watched it. Much like Garcon really was a complete afterthought yesterday and really only salvaged his day at the end.

Reed definitely added a nice chunk in garbage time, but he was Washington's target leader for most of the game despite seeing limited snaps.

Well I hope we get lucky. He's a top 5TE when healthy.
Yeah not sure what you would trade him for anyway, his band-aid boy tag means he's never going to bring actual value. Good thing is Niles Paul can't block and is no threat to take a healthy Jordan Reed's snaps. Skins stink and will be playing from behind a lot, a perfect storm for Reed IMO.

I'd say he looked about 3/4 back to normal. Not as fast as normal, not making moves quite as quickly. But more good than bad.

Rotoworld:

Jordan Reed caught 5-of-6 targets for 54 yards in Washington's Week 7 win over the Titans.

Reed looked slippery and healthy, but was hampered by the Redskins' poor quarterback play. Reed is now up to 13 catches for 146 yards since returning from his hamstring injury in Week 6, and has quickly re-established himself as an every-week TE1. Robert Griffin III's (ankle) looming return will only help Reed further.

Yes, he has missed a lot of time to date, but... in the last 8 games Jordan Reed has finished, he has put up a 98 catch, 1144 yard pace. When he's on the field, he produces. A lot.

Of course, assuming Reed stays healthy.....

With the QB turmoil in Washington, you have to think Reed's best bet for production is for RG3 to reclaim the reigns, correct? They had some great chemistry last year.....

That seems to be the consensus thought. I think any way you slice it, the target potential is something to feel good about.

He's done pretty well with Kirk Cousins, and he got a lot of work with Colt McCoy last week. He seems to be a favorite of all the quarterbacks, which is probably a pretty good sign that he's a talented player and not just a product of the system.

How can anyone confidently start Reed in week 8 with colt McCoy at qb? I can't bring myself to do it. Kelce it is for me.

Noodle armed Colt is a dinker and a dunker. Perfect for a tight end. I'd say possibly bump Reed if Colt plays over Cousins. DJax takes the hit.

It's BC colt McCoy is more comfortable with Paul and Paulson. That's who he practices with.

Once griffin gets back Reed will be more of a factor.

Besides Desean Jackson, Reed is Washington's 2nd best receiving option (Garcon is a fraud). And it's simply incredible that he only sees the field half the time.

Lmao at calling garcon a fraud.
He's a volume guy that's not very talented nor does he have the speed anymore. Take away the targets and Garcon is the guy he is this year. I'm sure fantasy owners are loving him this year.

And this is coming from a diehard Skins fan.

Yeah, games like this show how dumb PPR sometimes is. Don't get me wrong, I'll take the 11 points from him in the league where I started him, but 11 points for a guy who had 40 yards is kinda silly.

Garcon is legit IMO. Not the target monster he was last year, but he YAC ability is very good and he makes tough catches. I think all 3 make a fine group (and Roberts is good #4 option)

I'm a Skins fan so didn't give a #### about the fantasy points tonight. Reed was money. Every time we needed a play, Reed was there. 40 yards doesn't do his game justice. PPR corrected this one properly.

I do hate PPR though. I'm moving my leagues towards point per first down instead. In that format Reed's game tonight was a solid 11. He almost scored as well, and TD are unpredictable. Nobody would be #####ing with 17 from your TE.
