Btw, what do you guys think of Jeremy Davies playing Dickie?Sometimes, I have a hard time buying it and find it a bit annoying. Other times, I think he's brilliant. I can't really decide.
Love him. The limp is a bit much
You would limp too if some went all Barry Bonds on your kneecap.

Love him, think he plays the part perfect.

 I still find it hard to believe he's the same guy who played Corporal Upham.

 Not sure why you're all worked up because I think the limp is a bit over the top in the acting department. But hey, knock yourself out.

My favorite show. I agree with nearly everything said in this thread. Last season have a few dull shows. This season has been much better. Bringing back Goggins full time was necessary, although they seem to be just taking his character in a million different directions. I like how they have been establishing the different families and explaining the history between them, ie Raylan and Cougars history.

Raylan is such a bad ###. Mags has been phenomenal.

Anybody have any insight on who the old hag was that was drinking shine with Mags at the store and got the crone to change his tune?

Every time I see him on the show I think of him cowering in the stairwell. That was one of the worst movie moments I remember watching that hand-to-hand finish. Still have trouble watching that and I've seen it 100 times.

Hated him with a red hot passion. But I've read enough stories to know that even the most gung ho bastards can freeze in combat.

Damn, I didn't realize that was him. I hated him in that scene, played it perfectly.

I've liked him in everything I've seen him in (Saving Private Ryan, Lost, Justified). I actually think he's a pretty underrated actor.

No comments on the season ender yet? I liked how they closed out the Bennett clan story.

The Shield is long gone and Rescue Me is heading for its final season; guess I have to look forward to Season 3 of Justified and hope maybe FX comes up with another great show.

I thought I was going to cry when Dickie shot up a perfectly good ###.

I didn't like Dickie not getting his in the end.
Very lame. And Eva is hot as ####, her ### is a thing of beauty. He deserves to taken out based on his shooting of her alone. I suppose it's being left open so that Boyd can have someone to go after next season.

They have, it's called Sons of Anarchy and you're three seasons behind.

:goodposting: Forgot about that one. I watch it. And I rate SoA "very good" and rate the three shows I listed "great". IMO of course.

:goodposting: SoA has it's moments, but there are times it's unwatchable.

It also opens up the storyline to a new group looking to take over the Bennett's old turf.

As tense as it was, the scene with Raylan dangling one-legged from the tree had me :lmao: a couple times.

"Let's go back to the part about you reading."

And when Boyd said something like "I'm trying to decide whether to shoot him now or let him have a couple more swings first." And Raylan said "I'm going with the first one."

I could have done without the whole IRA/kidnapping storyline.

My favorite was"You asking me, or telling me?""If it makes you feel better you can tell people I asked you"

No doubt the writers do a very good job with the dialogue.

They really do. They do a good job of staying fairly true to Elmore Leonard's style.I really like the dynamic between Raylan and Boyd. It's funny to think that originally the Boyd character was only supposed to last a couple episodes. He's become so key to the whole show. Next season, if Dickie is still around, there should be some nice conflict between the three.

Not sure if it's been mentioned, but the woman who plays Mags needs to win some serious awards for what she delivered this season. Unfreakinbelievable.

Loved the finale last night, although the sniper shot/cavalry charge was a little too neat. I loved having no idea whether Loretta was going to shoot Mags or not...in two different scenes.

This show is a perfect example of what happens when you combine great acting with great writing. Thanks to the FFA for turning me onto this show.

Season 3's officially on deck.

I'm pretty excited. I think this show's got a chance to make the leap from really good to "one of the 2-3 best on TV" this season".

The turnaround they made between the first 4-5 episodes of Season 1 and the end of Season 2 is staggering.

I guess that makes sense with whatever was going on with the scheduling issues for Walt Goggins then. I stopped watching back then when I wasn't sure if they'd keep Boyd around. They Raylan-Boyd relationship, in many ways, is the show. That's firing on all cylinders now.

If they can somehow find a way to follow Mags Bennett (a tall, tall order), then I think 'Justified' puts itself in the "best drama outside of Breaking Bad" discussion. IMHO, that group includes Mad Men (which I like, but don't love as much as others), Sons of Anarchy, Homeland, Shameless (but those 2 need to do it a 2nd time). I haven't seen Thrones or Boardwalk though.

The other big question is, what sort of bourbon should I get for the premiere?

The crazy Judge likes Blanton's. Raylan drinks pretty much anything, but he seems partial to the Turkey.

Noticed the DVR had it pegged to record tonight, geeked. Another great show that nobody knows about like Terriers. I hate how FX has to bury these at 10pm but props to them for putting them out

:confused:10pm EST is usually when good dramas come on. I was under the impression that AMC owned Sunday at 10p est and FX owned Tuesday since this is when Sons, Rescue Me, and Justified come on.

Last call to set DVRs for the premiere at 10.

Or better yet, pull up a chair and pour yourself a finger or 3 of Wild Turkey (or Apple Pie if you're lucky enough to have some).

Great episode.

Winona and Ava both still smoking hot. I like to see Ava swinging skillets and kicking ###.

I loved the initial Raylen-Boyd scene. Nice way to kick off a season.

Nice touch with Detective Quinn coming too. I doubt he's dead.

I watched the first 3 eps of season 1 then stopped. Can I start season 3 without backfilling?
No. But why would you want to?
Exactly. I'd just wait for the series to finish and then go through it all at once. Why you'd want to pass on episodes you can watch at your leisure in favor of seeing episodes out of context that you have to wait for is puzzling. This show is right on the fence for me in terms of being good enough to bother with in real time. I'd wait.

I do applaud them for not cheesing out and ending the episode without resolving the Raylan/Nix thing. I tore through Prison Break recently and found it hilarious how obnoxious they were with cliffhangers. They're bad and a ploy for people who don't have a show that is good enough on it's own to make people want to come back. I honestly looked at the clock and was disappointed in them, then realized they weren't done.

And the scene with Boyd at the beginning, it's scenes like that that keep the show from ever becoming a heavyweight, but it's also what make it fun. Predictable, unbelievable, silly, but fun.

And yeah, Natalie Zea is a top fiver for me, and has been since Crazy Sexy Money, or whatever that show with Peter Krause was. She's my kind of soldier.

Very good start. Keeping Jere Burns and adding Neal McDonough has a lot of potential. And agree with AJ that closing the Nix thing was the right move. The Ice Pick was a one trick pony.

Personally, I don't mind, but I don't think they actually resolved the Icepick issue. Raylan's been known to miss the heart from 2 feet away in season premiere's. I think he did this time too.

He shot him in the shoulder, so I doubt seriously that he's dead. I was referring to resolving the standoff. I like the character and the guy who plays him, and between the hat and his reference to Tommy Bucks, I think it's safe to say we haven't seen the last of him. And I'm happy that Duffy is back, because he's probably my favorite character on the show. The only time I laughed in the episode was when he came off the bus and was staring Raylan down, both of them knowing how much #### Raylan was eating by being there.

Yeah, that was a great scene.
