i've thought of that, but i heart mcnabb. i'd trade him, but the offer would have to be pretty outstanding. will probably have to pursue this avenue though.I don't think youll get true value for Kitna. If I where you, I would trade McNabb, you'll get more and the #'s should be close for the rest of the year, plus Kitna plays inside in the winter. You should be able to better your team on that path.
i like this advice... it would take serious stones to pull the trigger, but if you could get a really good return for mcnabb, it may put you over the top.I don't think youll get true value for Kitna. if there was a hot rookie on the team like a leinart or a cutler, maybe... but there's no one overly promising there, and why mess with anything, now that it's obvious the offense is starting to jell?normally i'd be afraid of that possibility, but i can't see it in this case, barring some really "stink up the joint" play from kitna.I like this move a lot. The only real threat to Kitna (barring a freak injury) is the off chance that he gets benched as the Lions look to evaluate their youth at QB when Detroit is inevitably eliminated from the playoffs.
I think Kitna is the starter for the next 2-3 years. He was brought in, along w/ Martz, to bring some life to pathetic but historic franchise. Lots of offense = butts in seats @ home games. If you are in a dynasty, I would worry about Martz going for a HC position somewhere like Cleveland in the next year or 2. I think this team is only a player or two away from being a contender. No, I'm not a Lions Fan, just a fan of Martz in fantasy respects.I don't think youll get true value for Kitna. The name value of McNabb will garner you much more in return than Kitna.
His TD to INT ratio is what people why away from. Put the guys on pace for 4300 yards 20+ tds, league leader in completions. he was a solid round 13 draft pick for me.I have Peyton, Kitna and Grossman. Can't seem to move either Kitna or Grossman in a 12 team league. I keep pointing out that Kitna is 7th among QB scoring but it hasn't impressed anyone yet. Apprently he is not putting his number in a flashy enough way. *shrug*
