Knowshon Moreno, Spencer Larsen out By John Clayton

ESPN.com

The Denver Broncos' backfield will be without running back Knowshon Moreno (hamstring) and fullback Spencer Larsen (ankle) for a second straight week.

Broncos coach Josh McDaniels made the announcement Friday.

Denver visits AFC North co-leader Baltimore (3-1) on Sunday, with the Broncos (2-2) trying to remain in the fray in the West.

Moreno had returned to the practice field Wednesday after missing last week's game because of the hamstring injury, but he was shut down Thursday and again Friday.

Larsen hasn't practiced all week and will miss his second consecutive game.

For Moreno, this will be the third game he will sit out because of the hamstring injury.

Maybe this sounds crazy, but would now be a good time to try to trade for Maroney. I'm thinking that you could get him for insanely cheap, and if/when he gets healthy, he should surely outperform the investment.

If you could get him for your 5th RB or WR...why not?

There's a very good reason why you could get Maroney extremely cheap.

well hopefully next week he plays. :blackdot:
Against the Jets??Then he has Oakland...which should be a very telling game!! He should be on the field by then, and if he can't be productive against them I will not be happy. I've had him stashed because I like the 2nd half of the year for him, and in particular the playoff weeks. Arizona, Oakland and Houston (weeks 13 through 16).Since he got that second hammy injury, I've said all along he won't be any good until at least the Oakland game and maybe not until after the BYE week. But watching the run game in Denver has me real worried! I don't know if ADP, or Johnson could do anything behind that line. And teams are so busy dealing with the WRs, you don't have the "8 in the box" thing to worry about. That team just flat out can't run right now. I hope it changes, and soon. But we won't know for at least 3 more weeks I'm afraid.

Hopefully he means Moreno.

I long for the days of Moreno and his 3.8 YPC...that's more than double what any other Denver RB can get...

Let's pray that he means Moreno. If that is what he means, then i completely agree. It is a great time to get him on the cheap. If he comes back, he is the unquestioned #1 back for a team with an incredible passing attack. And from what i've seen of him, I very much like it!
