Sure, a near record in the real world. But I'd venture to guess that all of us FBGers have caught fishes twice the size of that.

I've only done it once, and it was pretty nice out (~40F). I got hammered. It felt so good to lay on the ice and snooze for a bit. Then hypothermia set in. Then the ice weasels came.

I agree, it looks much shorter than advertised, but is still a mammoth trout regardless.

smoked w a maple glaze, very nice.

Biggest trout of any kind Ive caught is a 22 pound Brown Trout. beauty rainbows here too...

salmon though, Ive had a few as big as 38 pounds.
