This is from PFT:

SEARS SCREWS UP HIS LEG

PewterReport.com reports that Bucs rookie guard Arron Sears suffered a leg injury in practice on Tuesday.

He was taken from the field on a cart, and was later seen on crutches. It is believed that Sears has gone to a hospital for evaluation.

Sears, a second-round draft pick, is listed as the first-team left guard on the Bucs' depth chart.

I thought this year was going to be his year to break out like he did his rookie season and surprise people with alstott gone. Being "the guy"...I thought was going to be good for him and help him to rebound by getting all those GL and 3rd down touches, but now I have been hearing that Pittman has been $$$ in the Alstott role. I also know that that offense has looked nothing short of dogsh*t-horrible in the preseason and now they lose their starting guard. what a mess.

I think this too pretty much every time someone is screaming for a link.....is it just me?
I say don't post anything without a link. There has been to many people making up stuff to cause a stir and posts.
This time of year, the forums are only slightly better than coachspeak due to the upcoming and ongoing drafts. I just take most of what I see/read with a grain of salt, and if it interests me, I look it up elsewhere. The articles page here is very good about posting anything relevant or otherwise, and isn't too hard to find without all the running around - trying to find the paper/writer/article that was written. If you're not on dial-up, just go look.

I posted this on our very own blogger before 5 Eastern...sometimes I wonder if people read it instead of going to PFT.
PFT? Pffft. The Blogger is the first point of call once the computer is switched on each morning. Don't worry Kevin, people who like to win know where to look first.

My posts reflect my genuine opinion on the topic at hand, I never try to mislead anyone or deflect them in order to personally benefit from it via a draft. I think the same goes for the majority of posters here and surely the staff.

:moneybag:

bump.

he's actually looking really rested and elusive right now. They are keeping his action minimal in the games to make him more ready to carry the load.

I'll say this. He is a better back with a better line than ronnie brown right now.

Majority, yes. I'm the same. I don't know or use a lot of stats, just my 13 years' playing experience and my own two eyes to judge talent/situation. However, during the preseason, there are so many drafts going on and people chiming in hoping to sway one or two people in their leage - regardless of the other 1000 or so that may read the thread - that if I don't see w/ my own eyes or read an article, it means very little to me. That doesn't mean that I don't offer my :2cents: either, but I don't expect many to take what I say very seriously this time of year. Those of us that are more opinion based tend to be neglected a little more in August. :kicksrock:

Yep...He looked good last night...certainly better than Brown. Also of note...Luke Petigout was getting RAVE reviews from the announcers and the Bucs coaches.So...Carnell is healthier than '06, the Bucs OL looks better than '06, and the QB is 3 times the QB from '06. I'd say Carnell has the potential to be a nice sleeper.

In my 12 team PPR league, I nabbed Williams at 4.02 as our league's RB23. RB's arleady drafted before him:

M. Lynch at 3.12

MB III at 3.07

C. Benson 2.11

T. Jones 2.10

B. Jacobs 2.09

Portis 2.08

Ro. Brown 2.07

Edge 2.06

McGahee 2.05

MJD 2.04

Ru. Johnson 2.03

T. Henry 1.12

R. Bush 1.11

Maroney 1.09

Parker 1.08

Alexander 1.07

Westbrook 1.06

Gore 1.05

Addai 1.04

LJ 1.03

Sjax 1.02

Ladanian 1.01

I have him ranked at RB19 in my projections, as I think with an improved OL and QB play, he can recapture his ROY level of play. Plus, with Gruden continuing to talk about 60+ rec., I saw this as value that is too good to pass up.

The 2002 Raiders under Gruden had a pretty good FFB RB named Charlie Garner. While I am not saying that Caddy has any kind of shot at coming near the gaudy numbers that Garner put up that year, I am more than willing to give all of these indicators the benefit of the doubt and say that Caddy in a PPR league should out perform his draft position.

Here is what they are saying about caddy in the yahoo league caption

Aug 26 Williams gained 25 yards in four carries for Tampa Bay against Miami on Saturday.

Recommendation: That includes one 14-yard run and one 12-yard run, both runs where Williams broke multiple tackles. With Jeff Garcia in tow, it no longer appears that Williams will be the cornerstone of Tampa Bay's offense. In an offense where Garcia will pass in order to potentially set up the run, Williams will get the opportunities to rack up big gains on those occasions where he gets the ball; however, Williams may not get the "feature back" workload that other halfbacks around the league will see.
