Ouch. My recollection of his injury issues in Baltimore is what kept me from getting too deeply onto the bandwagon. Seems when a player just collapses like that it is serious. Hoping not, I have been a Ram's fan since before the Superbowl year... the first Superbowl with Hacksaw Reynolds and company and it has been refreshing to see signs of a revival for the team.
Mark Clayton confirmed Sunday that the right knee injury he suffered in the Rams' Week 5 loss to Detroit is season-ending.Brian Stull of 101 ESPN St. Louis reports that it may be a patellar tendon tear. If so, Clayton would likely require reconstructive knee surgery -- an operation that would threaten to sap his value on the 2011 free agent market after what was setting up as a breakout season. The injury may spur the Rams' interest in Vincent Jackson. Still not out of the NFC West race at 2-3, St. Louis needs to surround Sam Bradford with weapons to fulfill his potential.
