Mark Sanchez (2 Viewers)

What I noticed is Sanchez's pace and athleticism was night and day compared to Foles.

watch that panther game and tell me Kelly doesn't love how fast Sanchez took the snap and got rid of it. I think Sanchez looked natural and crisp. I think he's gonna run with this thing.

Regardless of what he does going forward, he looked much more comfortable in the pocket than Foles. He stepped up instead of drifting back 10 yards and throwing off his back foot. Looked more confident than Foles too. Could all change in GB, but I'm optimistic it'll be a good game.
Again that's this year's Foles. Last year's Foles did those things and made all the throws. Its a lot easier to come in as the backup with no expectations. He isn't the first guy to have a sophomore slump.
Really wasn't a knock on Foles. I've been a supporter of his throughout. But in a 1 game sample, Sanchez looked much more comfortable right now than Foles has so far this year. It was a 1-game improvement over what the Eagles have had thus far in '14.
I disagree with him looking comfortable. He just looked like he had better protection to me, some of the best I've seen this year. His footwork was off at times too. When he had pressure he looked just like Nick and got away with some stuff.
He looked better than Foles under pressure by a lot. That's not saying much cause Foles looked horrible, but Sanchez looked very comfortable

I actually went out and traded for sanchez after watching him play vs CAR. He looks like the most natural of all the quarterbacks that kelly has had so far.

I'd be mildly worried if I'm Maclin, Ertz, and even Desean owners. Sanchez built chemistry working with the second unit. That's why second unit guys like the rookie Matthews and reserve TE Celek had big games. It's who he knows. Going forward, working with the first unit that should correct itself though. I hope.
As a Desean owner I am not at all worried about Sanchez. I will make my lineup decision on Desean as if he were on another team entirely.

Pretend he is on....boy I don't know. ....redskins

Amazing we actually listen to some peoples advice and they may have knowledge this shallow.

HEs a smart guy tho throwing that pick 6 to get the first team D off the field a little bit earlier for a chance at a few garbage time TDs.

One thing I notice is most of his success comes on down the middle plays or crossing routes. This is a dangerous area of the field to make bread.

Well, the O-Line for Philly still is in shambles, and Green Bay is turning up the heat right now. They just look amazing. Sanchez was okay, but he was also a backup for a reason. He's still startable in fantasy, I think, but he won't be single-handedly winning you any games (and god help you if you picked him up with that hope). Going forward I still like him better than Eli :)

I'm considering him over Wilson and RG3...
I've got the same decisions. I'm going with RG3 or Sanchez.

I'm gonna do some yoga this morning and make my decision with a clear mind.
Three home leagues and benched Wilson in all three. Used rg3 for one and Sanchez for two. One game still hangs in the balance and I'll probably lose because of the 7 point difference between Sanchez and Wilson. I'm hoping the official scoring changes his one fumble and rightly credit it to McCoy. 2 points could be difference. This may cost me a playoff spot but at the least, maybe I stick with Wilson no matter what. His rushing numbers alone keep him relevant.

We had overreaction last week on the positive side, and now too much on the negative side.

GB got up and things just got out of control.

The secondary is god-awful.
I was fine with the Marcus Smith pick at the time, but they really should have gone CB now. It's obvious. Really bad first round pick, not for what he may become but because he can't play right out of he gate when we needed players.

yeah I don't recall who was left at that point. I remember thinking that HaHa would fall to us (needing a safety) but he went right before our pick-which we then traded. Think Dennard and Verret were available at that point. The Smith pick really was a head scratcher at the time and it drives me nuts now-especially with a lot of guys taken later having an impact now.

Dennard was there before trading back. Roby was still there after trading back.

This week will be a huge barometer for how I view Sanchez going forward. I don't think he's a very good QB but he's had a little bit of success because of Chip Kelly's system. Nationally televised game against the biggest division rivals---we shall see......

If he tanks you think theres any chance we have Foles back for next Dallas game?

No way. We're not talking about Peyton Manning here. We're talking about Nick Foles. Not enough reward compared to the risk IMO

Plenty of reward. Does no one remember last year? Its not like it never happened. It happened and if that's the upside, its a huge difference than what Sanchez brings. Sanchez now is playing a little better than the worst Foles has played in his career.

I guess it depends on the situation going into the next Cowboys game. If the Eagles lose the next 2 games and Sanchez is flat out awful then maybe I consider a change. Is Foles expected to be cleared b the next Dallas game? If not, I don't think there is enough reward to risk putting in an injured Foles over a healthy Sanchez. If he's cleared to play, then I agree that Foles should be in.

Rotoworld:

Mark Sanchez completed 20-of-29 passes for 217 yards with one touchdown in Thursday's Week 13 win over the Cowboys, adding seven carries for 28 yards and a rushing touchdown.
Sanchez didn't have any turnovers coming off his two interceptions against the Titans. He scored on a two-yard read-option on the Eagles' opening drive, and threw a 27-yard touchdown to Jordan Matthews. Sanchez is averaging 281 yards per game and has a 8:6 TD/INT ratio in five games (four starts). He'll be a QB2 option in Week 14 against Seattle.
