Marvel Contest of Champions - Time Killer (1 Viewer)

Just under 750k. I'll probably get there....unless it's down for half a freaking day. I have 7 legit teams for endless now, so each "round" of seven if netting me a little under 110k.

It's still bull####. I actually have time tonight and don't have to work tomorrow. Chaps my(and Jesus') ###.
You'll get it buddy, I have faith in you and Mr. Jesus

With seven 4* you could keep recharging the top 2 and using them with the other 5, one at a time. 40 units for 5 lucrative battles is good imo if you're looking to invest units in the arena. That's how I won and duped IF (noob bracket LONG ago). I spent about 600-800 units on each run for him, still the best units I've spent.

Mj pointed this out but again, boosts increase your arena scores pretty significantly. Also, if you're overmatched in arena, boost your heroes, the boosts will apply to the matchup you just drew.

Be picky when using boosts, they're pretty valuable imo, I wish I had more.
Following this theory, think I could get the 4* they reward?
wootwoot has to answer this one, he knows what it takes nowadays.

seriously, every time I log in to try to do a T4 round it is down. I still haven't got my arena rewards, the noobs who kept opening crystals after we said not to all get 3* Guillotines, I get stuck with a 2*.

Then to top it off that new guy tells me not to say Jesus or Christ in chat as it offends him. I should kick him before the summoner advancement awards are handed out
I have no idea if he was serious or not. And his friend won't join who has spent thousands in the game, what the heck.
Yeah the chat got quiet after that comment :lmao: I couldn't tell if he was kidding either

If he's offended by that, wait until I inevitably start dropping the "JFCs".

Guessing that may make the Ned Flanders Vapors kick in.

Welp, today's alliance quest probably isn't going too well, I would guess.

Probably not that big of a surprise that the venom arena brought the whole thing crashing down.

I've started the "Hulk strategy" with my 2*s. Gotta say, it was nice to burn through a bunch of tech iso that has been sitting in my inventory for about a month.

Well, while there's down time I'll throw this here....

So, I got my first shot at Ultron in the AQ with duped Drax earlier. Tried evading/blocking only, didn't really go on the offensive. Didn't land a single, freaking hit.

Is this merely a question of needing to max out certain masteries/getting him over the hump to rank 4, or is it just that I suck/was unlucky(FWIW, took a second run at him with duped Spidey and only hit him once)? Didn't expect to run him down in one pass or anything, but certainly didn't expect to not land a single punch on him either.

Hulk the problem was we reached 265 with very little time. No reason to waste a couple thousand points then. When someone sees a crystal open they just join in.

Timing is key here. Much moreso with ultron than even the Thor/Colossus mini bosses. Evade evade evade, hit him when he's blocking. Try to get him to use a heavy swing. They're easy to evade and counter. Once you can get him to keep using his L1 special it's easier to keep laying hits on him. One thing to avoid, and has led to my downfall many times, is hammering away at your phone during a combo. I usually just keep hitting my cingerndisn, but with ultron if he evaded and you swing again you're in a perfect position to get beat to a pulp.

Pretty much what happened. He evaded my first attempted swing and that was that. Wasn't able to avoid the heavy he threw either. Seemed quicker than normal.

I have Parry(just one point so far, IIRC), but at this point it's not very reliable.

With old featured hero's it's near 2.5mil. With new featured hero's it goes up to 2.9mil. For Venom? I recon 3.1mil as cutoff for the basic 4*.

I'm not gonna risk that, i'll go at least for 3.4mil. 3.6mil or higher will make me feel more comfortable.

When you want to make a bigger chance, go for it during next T4 cat arena. It will be next weekend, the top scorers will be in that arena so i guess the cutoff for the basic 4* will be much lower.

The mini bosses and Ultron are all about Parry. Absolutely must mastery.
I type out a nice thought out post of my strategy and doc comes in with the opposite lol. That does make sense, I actually still don't have parry. One stupid question with parry... Do you still take damage when you time it right and stun them?

It depends. I have the blocking D masteries, plus 1 in parry (used to be 3). I take very little damage on a Parry. Less than 100 usually.

I do think you only put 1 in parry. The difference between 1 and 3 is negligible.

I used parry so much against Wolverine, i use it all the time. Really a must have for AQ, RoL and arena. Thats' why i don't like my Spider-man and was pissed i duped him twice now. He just evades whilst i actually want to parry, so messes with my play style.

You do take some damage, but not much. Especially when armor is up. After the parry you can throw a combo, so you take a tiny bit of damage, but give a load.

When I redo my masteries that'll be the first I add. I guess I'll need to practice a bit for the timing

So I have a mastery in Salve and it gave me +1 for health when I fight---I just added a mastery for Recovery which said I would get 5% but its only giving me +2--Did I do bad math? Thought Id be getting at least 5

Does being stunned drop your armor?
If you get stunned by an awakened Thor, then yes.

5% boost to healing, not 5% of total health. So if you gained 100 health/sec recovery would boost it to 105/sec

As for parry, I am pretty good on it, but if I mistime it I get owned. I prefer evade in 90% of situations. Where parry has been helping me more is Spider-Man. It kills his evade. I need to use it more vs Ultron as he frequently kills me after evading me.
