He is excellent because of the rotation of shield, fury and life steal. If you need health obviously it is beneficial to attack during this phase. I will usually try to lure out my opponents special while I have shield up, then resume attacks when I have fury or life steal active. You know what is coming and when it is coming and it allows you to plan your attacks. My goal in AQ and story are not so much to win as fast as possible, but to lose as little health as possible in each fight

So pissed right now. I just got caught by the phantom hard match in endless. Came in with a crew PI of about 4300 before synergies, which has been no problems prior to this update. Get the 15000 - 23000 matchups, and after seeing some mention of buying new matchups lowering the target, I figured I'd try it.

5 new matches, 3 are for the same set, spend a total of about 120 units, and get crushed. Such bull####.

Android users - I may have found a reason for the lag some of us are experiencing. Every time I open MCOC, I see the Account Sync icon flash for a second on the status bar. I've paused mid-play to see if it was still there, and it has been there more often than not. I checked out my Sync Accounts, but nothing stands out to me. I'll experiment with these to see if I can narrow it down more, but the Sync function seems to be the cause of the lag. This tends to run whether I'm on WiFi or data. Does anyone recall from the latest Kabam release notes whether or not the game is pulling data from other apps on devices?

Some sort of event is supposed to begin today. If they get around to it. But they announced it like 10 days ago.

I have figured out the missing cat issue. When you reach enough shards for a full cat, it shows a full cat on screen along with the full amount of the shards you just won. So if you have 2600 T3 shards and the chest has 500 shards in it, you will get the flash screen "Congratulations you made a catalyst" or whatever it says and then it will show you a full cat and the 500 shards. Kind of a stupid way to show it.

Now they just need to increase the shard rate for the class cats. I made 1 easy run and 5 hard runs for science T2 yesterday. Barely got enough shards to form a full cat. Ran both sides for the class T3 and I have 900 shards, and 600 of those are the completion/100% rewards. The chests only gave me 300 total.

Okay, so its easy, except for Luke Cage. He's redonkulous.

I read someone that Magneto's damage wasn't physical, but thats not true as his damage shrinks to Luke's physical resist.

I had been running this team (mostly for the synergy awesomeness):

4*/3/30 Wolverine

4*/3/30 Magneto

4*/3/30 Storm

3*/4/40 Cyclops

The synergies are fantastic for propping up Ms. Marvel into a killing machine, but I need someone who can take down Luke Cage more easily. Cage is immune to bleed too.

Please give options other than Dr. Strange (who I hate and I'm sick of everyone being on his jock.)

Hulk, do you have an awakened Star Lord? If so i would trade him for Storm.

You could try with Storm's L2, should do some decent damage too.

When I beat him the first time, Storm did about a 1/4 of the damage, Magneto/Wolvie/Cyclops barely made a dent, and Marvel cleaned it all up. But I had to use a revive on her one time.

I imagine by Round 6, he's a lot tougher.

I think Storm would be good if you could catch him with his special bars full when you used your red special. I didn't manage to pull that off though.

To compare, it took me 770 hits with DD to take down Cage even with class advantage

I used SL up to 4.3, but my 3* is too fragile for later on (opponent PI doubles from 4.2 to 4.3). Does a lot more damage then Strange though.

- 37% block proficiency, (I can block a lot with barely taking damage)

I don't block that much, if i switch Magneto with Ronan i get:

- 22% block proficiency

- 24% perfect block chance

- 75% crit damage

- 5% attack

- 10% crit rate

Lower crit rate and block proficiency but a huge boost in crit damage. Doubting if the higher crit damages balances the lower crit rate. Will kick in less, but when it does its much stronger. I think i'll try this setup after AQ, and see which one suits me best.

Btw, lots of quests I need to do (Groot, Coulsons, Act 4.3). Since there is a time limit on Groot and Coulson i'll focus on them. Act 4.3 can wait.

Yea, I would need to switch to handle poison. I have Capt Marvel and Abomination that could do the trick, but Black Widow is making me question whether I can proceed. May need to do the block proficiency route, but I just don't have the necessary champs in 4* or even 3* form, so I would be 100% relying on Dr Strange, which means I will likely need to burn more revives. Would be nice to have some backup in case I make a mistake.

After doing several trial runs with the second setup, i decided to use the block proficiency synergies. Even that i don't block a lot, it still makes too much damage in a 15 minute fight. The amount of hits needed for IF and Luke where not that different. The crit rate evens the crit damage.

BW took me 45 hits to KO her, in quest 4.4. Wolverines stacked bleed drowns her real quick. All the other fights were with Strange. Brings back memories...

If you're planning to use Strange only, then you could go with 3*'s for the synergies.

I've felt that way and decided to punt on the arenas. Too much time and effort to be disappointed. I'd rather focus on quests and alliance events.

Pretty much what I decided. At this point the t4s have to trump the other stuff for me.

I completed Coulson 4-1 and not even going to mess with 4-2. Haven't touched Groot yet and might skip it, definitely don't need another 3*.

While we're on the anniversary buff I've been doing Coulson 3-1 for XP and grinding arena for the extra battle chips/gold.

Coulson is great XP per energy but we're getting only XP and maybe a +125 ISO from reruns, so I'll switch to story quest Act 3 when that comes out.

Keep in mind that the 3* Groot is only a minor prize for the Groot event. If you complete full exploration for all three levels you'll get enough shards for a Tier 4 basic cat.

And the ISO is quite good from it. You get 3x 825 class ISO from every ambush and also the final boss. Plus all the basic ISO from random drops and kills.

But I'd suggest starting now if you want to have time to get 100% completion. They haven't even released the 2nd half of each level.

Just a heads up, but I am retiring the Hulk Plan* for the next Summoner's Advancement.

I've had excess iso and gold, and it was a way to burn through it. But, with the new abundance of tier 4 basics, I'm going to instead focus on upgrading my 4* army going forward.

Worst case scenario, by the end of the next AQ, I'll be adding another 4/40 to go along with Ms. Marvel. And with the cats available in the story mode, I'll be able to start bringing a lot more guys up to that level. This will be my focus, and I'll be using my iso and gold there as its expensive as heck.

Furthermore, without crystal shards in the AQs... the reduction in shards from dupes was the hidden cost of the Hulk plan. Given that crystal shards are now less plentiful, having those back will be nice too.

We should all be making sure we have at least 3 4*4/40 guys for AQs. Once we get there, we will likely be competing at a level where we're getting tier 4 class cat crystals, allowing some of us to luck into 5/50s. Might take a few months, but we'll get there.

Burnout setting in for me. I punted the arenas a while ago, but now I'm even struggling for the basic milestone. Barely played yesterday after OD'ing this past week on Coulson, Groot, AQ, grinding Cats, etc, etc...

Life gets much easier when you get an AQ champ who regenerates, some of us use them to carry us through the paths up to the bosses. Skill is important, having the right champs is at least as important (and that comes down to just being lucky and spinning the right champs)

I save him for the bosses. Aggressiveness is the key, you want to attack rapidly and stack those armor breaks up (without leaving yourself open to counter), that's when you really start dealing damage. Open up with a couple quick combos and you may stack as many as 5-7 armor breaks on the opponent, and then just go to town.

And then just evade or parry and try not to block so much. I usually use the orange special also, sometimes green if armor breaks are about to time out, but almost never the red.

When I read the description, it basically says that it allows you to evade all attacks while dodging back. If I dodge back, I already evade an attack, so what is new with it? Just the increase to critical rate?

It's very useful against projectiles like Ultron's beam, can't avoid those otherwise (except with parry which is more difficult). And I *think* the way it works is that if you dash back when a hit would have connected, you instead evade it? That's how it feels to me.

Hard to say which to get first between dexterity/parry but I will say I've only got one point in each and that's plenty. Parry is more useful but harder to master so maybe start with that and begin to get used to the timing on it. If you hold block when your champ is running in to the fight and your opponent insta-leads with an attack you will parry it 100% of the time.

I think ultimately the goal is to use dexterity just to avoid projectiles, and then parry (not evade) every attack thrown at you (much easier said than done).

There was, but I think it was disbanded. I played there for awhile, but it didn't have the traction/commitment to keep going. Constant churn of newbies and no stability.

Yep. There's one FBG alliance now, BigJohn we'll get you in once we have room.

Later on when I or someone else has time, we'll explain how the arena bracketing works and why you may actually want to restart when you learn what you will wish you knew from the beginning. KAC (Portis Homer) just restarted about a month ago and is off to a better start than any of us had (does require a lot of effort though).

I would start with evade and then get parry. 1 point in each is enough. These are the skills that allow you to run through a fight losing little to no health.

Not really IMHO, but it depends on what champs you have.

In my case my only remaining duped 3/30 is Abomination. I don't feel it is worth ranking him up when I have champs that I like better and have better synergies with my team (SIM, DD, Thor, Capt Marvel)
