***Minnesota at Green Bay*** (-12.5) O/U 42 Rodgers vs Somebody Bowl (1 Viewer)

I think he was saying because the Packers always seem to be on the winning end of questionable calls.

I'll say there is some truth to the NFL wanting GB to have home field. The Packers are an iconic team, with a huge fan base. I think them and Pittsburgh would be hosting every game if the NFL had their way.
Who in your opinion is “the NFL?”  I think the Glazers, Jerry Jones and the Bidwell family are probably not thrilled to have to go to Green Bay this month.

Obviously not other teams, that was implied.

I mean Roger Goddell, and in turn, the TV stations, and the media.

not sure I like that call either. He was airborne heading into the tackle before the returner stepped out. He committed long before it was obvious he was going out

Halley Berry at 55, ridiculous!!
Every so often it’s good to check out those trash articles which show celebs like Lindsey Logan, Macaulay caulkin, etc to remember that not all celebs age so great. And then berry, J-lo, George Clooney, etc to see how it can be done.

I kind of agree. It was definitely close, and I wish they'd let those go. It's so hard on the defensive players these days.

Ah, yes, the "Siberia of the NFL" for the larger part of the 1970s and 1980s is now a league darling.  So much so, that the league is doing their best to make sure they get all the calls.  Ok.

Never assume a conspiracy when sheer incompetence can easily explain it.  By any Sunday night game we've all watched enough football throughout the day to all agree that officiating in the NFL just isn't the best.

I think maybe I'm getting confused for somebody else here. I'm not implying the refs are leaning one way or the other, that wasn't me.

I was just saying that the Steelers and Packers are the teams that I believe the NFL(as a business, not each individual owner) would love if they were the best teams year in year out, thanks to their histories, fan bases, and general fan interest.

ETA: No conspiracy at all. Just what I believe a preference would be. That is in a vacuum of course. Obviously circumstances change year to year, so its not always 100% of the time. For example, this year, I think the NFL would love a TB/NE Super Bowl. But in lieu of a great story, I think GB/Pitt are sort of preferred.

Mrs APK just said the same thing.  She’s now banished to the basement until 5 minutes are left in the game or the Pack are up 35, whichever happens first.
It's a four score lead now, and Minny has THREE points.

Yes...24 points is absolutely a 4 score lead

No real Packer fan would ever feel safe with a 24-point lead at the 9-min mark in the 3rd quarter.
Against a fully staffed team that could practice I'd agree. This Vikings team is too short handed and too incompetent given zero practice this week

Zimmer’s face is still nowhere near 2007 Coughlin. He looks like most guys in Green Bay look coming out of a dinner club after 4 Old Fashions.
Meanwhile LaFleur looks like he is out for an afternoon round of golf.

One more series.

big question is how ling do you let him play, if at all, next week?  My guess is a quarter minimum and half max.
I think Rodgers sits next week
yeah....if he were healthy I could see a series or two. Two full weeks off is a long time and easy to get some rust. But He's NOT healthy, and two weeks might do that toe a world of good

I feel like historically, teams that have sat their starters in the last week, and had a bye week, come out pretty flat in the playoffs.

i would think Rodgers and co. play a half or so.

So, are we seeing how valuable Kirk Cousins is yet? This Vikings team beat this Packers team 6 weeks ago. GB didn't have Jones that week, and the Vikings had Cousins and Thielen.

Cousins(by himself) is worth at least 14 points in my opinion. Frankly, the difference seems every bit like the difference between Rodgers and Love was.
