Monday Night Football - **Chargers at Jets** (+3.5, 39.5) 8:15 (1 Viewer)

Regardless of the Jets current QB situation, they have a chance to pass the Bills tonight in the standings
Jets can move to 5-3 and be just a half game back of Miami
Jets will play Miami twice in the next 4-5 weeks including "Black Friday"
Hall and Wilson are the keys for the Jets tonight, how many touches can they get each of them?
 
Jets like the Steelers have been really lucky.. I am not a huge Chargers guy, but for some reason I think Chargers blow them out tonight. Something like 34-9
 
Jets may be the best team in The AFC East.
Patriots have a frim grip on the cellar.
Bills just don't look like the team they were a year or two years ago.
Dolphins can't beat a "good" team.
It's The Jets division to take.
I'm not sold on The Chargers being a consistent,quality team.
National television,at home,I gotta go...

Dude, the grind they have to go through to beat easy teams leaves this in serious doubt. (And by easy, I mean a team like the Giants with DeVito at QB.)

I love that you think that's true, but I'm utterly unconvinced. If they had done their due diligence, it might not be this way. Their QB might have been the guy that just took over in Minnesota. That's fully on Joe Douglas. The line is in tatters and Zach is suspect.

This is not a reverse jinx attempt. This is the truth.

But they can beat the Chargers, so I'm hoping for that to come to fruition.
 
Chess match of a game but Jets have been better than expected at home. I can't take this Chargers team on the road with their WR injuries. Jets ball control the hell out of them tonight and keep Ekeler and Allen reigned in for the most part.
 
Yeah I'd feel decent about this game if the Jets line was healthy. But it's not. Last week they couldn't run block to save their lives. They get tippman back today but the right side is still VERY suspect (and Tomlinson is banged up at LG)

We all like to think zach found something late last week, but I've seen this movie before. It will be another frustrating night for Jets fans unless breece or Garrett create long TD's out of nothing.

Jets D will need to carry the load as usual. I don't think they do quite enough tonight. I see something like 24-13 chargers

anything is possible but Chargers season high was 34 pointys vs Fins, more importantly can't remember the last time Jets gave up 34 certainly not this year.
 
Jets D should be able to keep them close enough for LA to charger this game away. It will ride on Zach keeping mistakes to a minimum and putting the game in Staley's hands to lose.
 
I think people are being a little too hard on both Miami and Buffalo, who I think are clearly better teams than the Jets. Having said that, a lot of people wrote NYJ off when Rodgers went down, and they are still playoff contenders.

For the Jets, I think the Chargers stuff the line and make Zach Wilson beat them, and well, I think he might. I especially think the middle of the field will be open, as the Chargers D has a tendency to overcommit to things. Do worry a little about pass protection though.

For the Chargers, its the Herbert/Allen show with Palmer out, and Ekeler unlikely to find much room against this front.

I'll say Jets win 21-16. Likely due to something we can blame on Brandon Staley.

If The Jets beat The Chargers tonight they are 1/2 game out of first place going into week 10.
Full disclosure,I am not a Jets fan,just a casual observer

Schwarzenegger will be on in the 1st Q, yes that one.
Trevor Lawrence in the 2nd Q
Keyshawn Johnson at some point int he 2nd Half, do they know he's not on ESPN any more?

I noticed that last week.

Especially considering how awful Kelley was when Eke was out.
