MOP's rants about everything! (1 Viewer)

I'm starting to like this thread, I think. It could serve a couple of purposes. One, MOP can vent, thereby lessening the chances of him assaulting a CVS employee. Secondly, we get to see the inner workings and thought processes of MOP. If only Pol Pot had the FFA, think of the lives that could have been saved.

I still don't know DD's ethnicity. If this place can't even answer a simple question like that, then I'm taking my ball and going home.

Some guy who was on a motorcycle tour to find the Mexican beach featured on Shawshank Redemption came up missing. Shocking.

I heard about this. Motorcycle guy getting a police/military escort thru parts and then some ominous type text.

People are quick to hate on their own country here in the States to the point they wan tho prove that things are quite civilized outside of these borders but Mexico is not a fantastic place to wander around past the beaches. We went camping on the side of a little cliff down in Baja and it was one of the worst weekends of my life, care not to relive that.

Was this thread born out of the gay football player thread? Or just general segregation along Gett off my lawn/Everything is fabulous lines?

It started when a surfer was dancing around one of the 21 campfires going and took a wrong step, fell down a good 25 feet and compound fractured his ankle/leg. I was one of the few not on hallucinogens as I was afraid to travel with narcotics down there, we were almost stripped search by the Mexican Army/police, they all look the same in uniform.

Anyways the guy's g/f is screaming for help but I mean we had driven a long way and I just wanted to enjoy my beers. Finally I walk down there to see what they are going to do and the next thing I know I'm directing traffic. I said we got to get him out of here and then the g/f said to call for help. I said we're in Mexico, did you want me to call in the National Guard or Navy out of San Diego? She looked confused. A local affirmed my suspicions and said no help would come as we're Americans and we needed to get this guy back over the border to an American hospital.

Next problem was all these surfers seemed completely at a loss for how to transport him so I ordered up a longboard from one of the chaps, gathered about 4-5 belts form the guys and we strapped him down to the board, thought we were gonna have to knock him out as he was in a lot of pain but we managed to get him up the cliff and then load him into the back of a station wagon and then they finally took off for the US border…we weren't that far down into Baja, if I had to guess maybe 50-60 miles, maybe it was 75-100 but no more than 150…200 tops.

It put a damper on the weekend.

You're a maniac. This thread works because of posts like these though, good work. :hifive:

Saw this on the news... They said he was trying to ride to the southern tip of South America. Dude is most likely dead, they had the mom on and she was obviously hysterical, real sad.

Personally I wouldn't travel anywhere in Mexico outside of Playa Del Carmen at this point.

It all started with KCitons :)

Recap:

- All of us dumb guys that didn't know about the other forum where shown the light.

- The best of the best here didn't like that they were called out for being "mean girls" (it's ok to call people names, just do it on a different site)

- Once panties got too bunched, mods decided to remove thread.

Result:

- Dumb people are still dumb, mean people are still mean. (only now, the lines between the two are blurred)

- MOP started this thread.

So, same as it ever was.

Hard for anything to be born out of a gay football player.

Good ole Leroy Hoard…I tell you my LH story? He is a daily radio host locally here in South Florida on 790 1-3PM, he is the side kick to the main host. They sponsor a poker tournament down here and I show up and make it to the final table, down to 7 and the break is getting ready to hit so I am on the button with pocket 10s, only about 8-10 BB in front of me, short stacked so I shove and Hoard calls from the BB and flips over JJ. Board did not help me so I tipped my hat, shook his hand, muttered gg vulture, he did a double take and I just kept walking.

The :e: board? Yeah I've never gotten an invite. Biggest letdown of my life.

Somebody tell Tanner to sit down because I got some BIG NEWS that is gonna flip some folks out.

I don't think folks know how much the BB thread from last year impacted me and I didn't want to take away from that with my own personal issues. I've been doing consulting work for a while in sales but it is unfulfilling. My wife and I have what we need, a house, each have a car, food in our bellies, IRA/403B accounts, a Blu Ray copy of The Professional, so what else do we need? So instead of grabbing the next fistful of money and also to help me understand my son better I am gonna attempt to teach. I already have met a few of the teachers who asked the principal to meet with me. I do not have any teaching credentials but apparently a 4 year degree can get you started.

It will give me a lot of flexibility in the summer to travel, something I want to do. It will allow me to finish my day and be home at a reasonable time so I can pursue a PhD as funny as that will sound to some of you. I know, but life moves pretty fast and you are here for a flick so I figure after I turn 40 and start the back 9 I might as well give back what I can. I also have had 1 mentor diagnosed with what I believe to be terminal lung cancer and that is weighing on me, then another which I will go into great detail at a much later date, but she was someone who was spiritual influence on me as a kid and I thought much like Obi-won she must be dead by now…she is turning 80 this Friday but has the mind of an 35 year old. So a lot of cool stuff happening and I think there is a good chance I will not get the job, but I will be 1st rotation for the Fall 2014. The current teacher I would be replacing had a nervous breakdown and put her 2 week notice in. They might go with a substitute for a while anyways.

I should've started this thread years ago.

With your obvious short fuse is middle-school teaching an even remotely good idea? I mean just consider the kids for a second.
