Drew touches the ball every play and is the common glue with all these guys. His passing opens the running game up when the team runs the ball. Who is the most important guy in this offense? Colston and Horn have been hurt but I'd like to have this poll based on all the guns on the field firing at the same time (or in the same game rather). If you want to make a point that even when Horn or Colston have been out the offense goes just fine with Henderson or Copper; fine. But, everybody's healthy. Who's the best player? Who's the MVP? Who's the most vital cog? Which player subtracted hurts the Saints the most? Which player adds the most to the offense? All in all, who's the most important skill player the Saints have besides Drew Brees? And, Drew Brees is obviously healthy. No theorizing that if Brees went down the team could go run heavy with McCallister and Bush and thus they are the guys.

The SAINTS' Non-QB MVP

I think this will be good. Bring your A game and tell everybody what's up!!!!

Take away Deuce, and they can focus on pass Defense. With Deuce in the game, they have to defend the run between the tackles, occupying the linebackers, and keeping them from leveraging into pass defense.

Bush is their best weapon when he gets the ball in space.

It has to be McAllister. No one knew what to expect from Deuce either coming back from injury or how he would react to Bush being drafted. His ability to be effective between the tackles has allowed the Saints to create mismatches with Bush as a receiver either in the slot or out of the back field. I don't believe that Bush would be this effective, if he had to carry the ball 20-25 time per game.

You can throw Colston out as this team hasn't missed a beat sans Colston. Went Bush after much thought...I never expected this type of year from him after major knee surgery.

tough between deuce and bush as they both open up the D a ton.

i went with deuce but i believe it will be bush in a few weeks

Bush-easy. Defenses have had to prepare for the Saints in an entirely different way than they prepare for other offenses because of his versatility and game-breaking skills.

Went with Bush, but it was a tough choice between Deuce.

I think Deuce can keep teh D honest, and not have someone just mirror Bush.

However I went with Bush, as I think alot of teams are gonna try to focus heavily on the game breaker, leaving more time for Brees, Deuce and Colston to do their thing.

I will say,

I think the best part of the NO puzzle is Sean Payton.

I am amazed at what he is doing as a whole.

The D is playing very well.

The play call is gutsy, unpredictable, and plays to the teams strengths.

I will be rooting for them

I voted for Duece. This team would not be sucessfull running the ball without him. So he gives them some balance so they can throw to Colston or Bush.

I can't choose one of the skill players, but I was thinking last night that the Saints' offensive line sure isn't getting enough credit this season. I know going in I didn't think they'd be any good and that the whole offense, Brees in particular, would have a hard time as a result. Boy was I wrong about that. So credit to the offensive line, I think they've had as much (or more) to do with the Saints' offensive success as Brees or anybody else.

:goodposting: They should get credit for making the stars we're voting on. That's half the reason I left brees off the list too.

Reggie Bush is basically used as another WR on that team, which they appear to have plenty of. No matter which WRs get hurt, they have another guy step in and put up numbers. Therefore it can't be Bush, so I'd say McAllister. I'd hate to see Bush be the main RB for New Orleans.

I haven't read any responses, but if you have watched each game multiple times like I have then you know Bush is even more important than Brees as far as play calling goes. I love Drew, but there are 6-10 qb's in the league right now that could be putting up close to the same numbers in this offense. Every person on the offense is better because of how much attention Bush recieves from the opposition, even if he isn't the best Fantasy choice for owners.

And Sean Payton's play calling has been next to brilliant all season long.

One example from last nights game (which I have seen twice now and the 2nd & 3rd quarters an additional time today. :geek:):

Bush gets used on a play action off the reverse (several times per game...and the formation also produced the 1st down on the 4 & inches play last night if you recall) which left Henderson alone to catch a huge pass all the way down inside the five (not the td, the one where he went out of bounds). Henderson waltzed downfield for that pass because all LB's & DB's froze when Bush wass faked to. It looked like a madden play in all honesty it was so easy.

I've seen the same type play used over a 20 times in the last 3 games, and countless times this season. Somebody different touches the ball everytime when we run it, but the biggest danger is Bush and it is very obvious when you watch its execution over & over again.

As good as Bush is, I keep coming back to how brilliant the offensive game plan has been all year from Payton & staff. They talked about how they started redesigning the playbook the minute Houston passed on Reggie. If he doesn't win coach of the year, than something is wrong.
