totally agreeBoondock Saints has a ridiculous differential. 20% critics and 91% audience. The truth is in the middle. It's not awful but it's no A- either.
More random, come across them from time to time and find it interesting. Is there a list or do you have to randomly look for movies on RT?
I just remember Boondock having a crazy spread from when we were trying to figure out what year it was released for one of @KarmaPolice 's movie pollsIs there a list or do you have to randomly look for movies on RT?
If you like Boondock Saints, and I love that movie, you should check out Overnight the documentary about Troy Duffy, who wrote BS. It's amazing to watch this guy self-destruct in "real time".I just remember Boondock having a crazy spread from when we were trying to figure out what year it was released for one of @KarmaPolice 's movie polls
In case you didn't know, a 91% score would mean that is the number of reviews that are considered positive leaving only 9% of reviews negative. It's not the equivalent of having an average rating of 9.1 out of 10 or something equivalent.Boondock Saints has a ridiculous differential. 20% critics and 91% audience. The truth is in the middle. I'm with the critics on War of the Worlds, that movie was solid.
I haven't heard of at least half of those movies and only seen a handful.Anarchy99 said:

As expected, Adam Sandler movies fit in with being bad by critics; good with audience.Joe Dirt
Critics: 11%
Audience: 63%
Super Troopers
Critics: 35%

I think a big problem with movies like these above is that they get better with more viewings. You're not going to get that with critics.
Start with comedies and horror movies. Anything by Sandler/James and crew should qualify. Most of those seem to be Critics > Audiences. I'd be interested in the reverse, where the audiences supported it by a wide margin over the critics.
It's this on Netflix or another streaming site? Can't find it.Chaka said:If you like Boondock Saints, and I love that movie, you should check out Overnight the documentary about Troy Duffy, who wrote BS. It's amazing to watch this guy self-destruct in "real time".

Strange that critics liked Sharknado much more than the audience. Totally would have thought the opposite.Anarchy99 said:
Not for the audience. That is the actual score. Critics only get the up or down vote. That's why the critic score can be deceiving. A movie might be 90% for the critics with an average score of 70 for the critics' ratings.RUSF18 said:In case you didn't know, a 91% score would mean that is the number of reviews that are considered positive leaving only 9% of reviews negative. Not sure. I just checked Just Watch and it does not show up at all. May have to check alternative sources. It's this on Netflix or another streaming site? Can't find it.

Funny because I think it spawned a few awful sequels. It got crushed critically as crappy Tarantino ripoff (which I agree to some extent).I give it an A![]()
With all the crap being remade in Hollywood because they are pretty much out of ideas, this was a breath of fresh air. Very inventive way to tell a story, not often seen in the movies done this well.
might be the worst critic score ever. The Sandlot
Critics: 56

Then they changed it because it used to be just a straight rating.![]()
WHAT IS THE AUDIENCE SCORE?
The Audience rating, denoted by a popcorn bucket, is the percentage of all users who have rated the movie or TV Show positively

I'm still mad that I actually watched that entire movie.I would guess stuff like Tree of Life would have the opposite spread as some posted already. Will have to poke around later.
