Name your Top Five NFL QB's of All Time (1 Viewer)

Well, answered over in FFA but here goes again:Tough call cause I didn't get to see some of the oldies so will go off what I was able to see:1. Elway2. Montana3. MarinoAfter that not sure.Favre, Brady, Manning all have their moments guess I'll go4. Manning5.Brady tie Favre

Just going by what I've seen.1. Joe Montana2. Dan Marino3. Tom Brady4. Steve Young5. John Elway

Kurt FREAKING Warner?!?!?!?

He's not even top five amongst those who have played while he has, let alone ALL TIME.

Maybe he's on the Arizona Cardinals' top five, but all-NFL all-time? Laughable.

Any list without Johnny Unitas is wrong
Here's my "too young to have seen Unitas" list:1. Tom Brady

2. Joe Montana

3. Steve Young

4. Dan Marino

5. John Elway

Honorable mentions: Warren Moon, Carson Palmer

Do you have a list?

Kurt was one of the best QB's I've ever seen. He came out of no where to put up some of the best stats ever made... and he won a super bowl and multiple MVP awards.

His top 5 status is pretty much a lock.

1. Dan Marino2. Johnny Unitas...the fact I have him and Marino 1 and 2 ought to tell you the type of Qbs I like.3. John Elway4. Brett Favre5. Joe Montana/Tom Brady

I'm trying to figure out the angle here. I suspect it will be a "Defend Kurt Warner" thing, but we'll have to see how it plays out.

def lack of love for Fouts. With out him and Air Coryell, a lot of the offenses we see today arent there.MontanaElwayMarinoFoutsFavreHM to Unitas and MoonPAyton and Brady could move up but for an all time list arent there yet.

Any list without Johnny Unitas is wrong

you are taking a 3 year guy over QBs who had similar to more success over longer periods of time?

1. Joe Montana2. Dan Marino3. John Elway4. Brett Favre5. Bart Starr6. Johnny Unitas7. Steve Young8. Dan Fouts9. Tom Brady10. Troy Aikman

1. Dan Marino

2. Johnny Unitas...the fact I have him and Marino 1 and 2 ought to tell you the type of Qbs I like.

3. John Elway

4. Brett Favre

5. Joe Montana/Tom Brady
Favre doesn't belong on this list. He always had a great supporting cast. This year proves that he can't do much without All Pro players around him. At least Warner is doing something this year with less than Favre has to support him.

WRONG! Go check out his supporting cast in the early and mid 90s prior to their two Super Bowls.

His first full season, 1999, may go down as the greatest ever by a quarterback. He had no experience before this. That is a lock in my book for the top 5 All Time.

I have. It is overflowing with Pro-Bowlers.

He may not be smoking....it may be genetic.

1. Unitas -- despite playing in an era when pass defenses had huge advantages over those of today, he is still #6 all-time for TDs, #10 for yards, and holds the record of 48 straight games with a TD pass.2. Montana3. Marino4. Elway5. Sonny Jurgensen

Any list without Johnny Unitas is wrong
Just going by what I've seen.
Not having seen him play, I can't vote for him.
Then don't reply in a "top five...all-time" thread.How about...

Johnny Unitas

Joe Montana

Otto Graham

Dan Marino

John Elway
We vote by what we see. Never having had the chance to see Unitas and some of the old timers I can only rank MY Best "All Time" based on what I have seen.

1. Joe Montana

2. Dan Marino

It was either Aikman or Scott Mitchell. ;)

Just going to list the ones that I've seen play1. Joe Montana2. John Elway3. Terry Bradshaw4. Dan Marino5. Tom BradyETA: Honorable mentions to Dan Fouts and Brett Favre (my two personal favorites from a fan perspective).

Looks like you're correct.
Almost - there's always the flip side, which appears to be "Attack Brett Favre" - works for me.

One good season is all it takes? Are you the same guy that ranks Dilfer over Marino since Dilf won a SB and Marino didnt?

Greatness for an all time list has to be over time. One season does not make you a best ever.

Exactly if I vote for a guy I've never seen play, then it really isn't MY list. I'd just be going off from what I've been told, read about or general concencus. I beleive Unitas to be one of the greats based on what I have heard, but can't list him.
