How about we start the first auction day on the 26th.  @Spartans Rule can send in his bids before the 23rd and then he's back on the 27th.  That way we can start the serpentine draft on Friday the 6th, so we can get some picks in during that weekend.  With the season starting on the 17th, I think completely missing that weekend would be bad.  

Timeline would be:

Day 1 Auction: bids due XXX EST on Tues Sept 26 

Day 2 Auction: bids due XXX EST Weds Sept 27

Day 3  Auction: bids due XXX EST Thurs Sept 28

Day 4 Auction: bids due XXX EST Fri Sept 29

Day 5 Auction: bids due XXX EST Mon Oct 2

Have you signed up for a WhatIfSports account? If so, go to:

When you click on one of the 12 "mini links" on that page, each representing a player to be drafted, there is a little box in the right middle section that says Show Player Eff.

Eff = effectiveness, represented by a percent, so someone might be 100% effective at PG and SG, 96% for SF, 62% for PF and 14% for C or something like that.

Let me know if that helps... there's also an FAQ and all there someplace that should help.  You may even want to start up a free team, just to see how it works (I probably should have done the same, as I ended up resting my starting five for the season's first game, thinking that only let guys rest if the game got out of hand.  Got myself a 50 point whooping to start my sim career because of that)

Folks, I'm pretty new to this rodeo, so correct me if I'm wrong, but IIRC:

There are 8 nights of the auction for 50 players (I think). Each night puts about 7 players available for bid and you can bid for multiple players, or none, each night (until your 100 is used, obviously).  You can also set a priority for your bids.  

The $100 budget pertains only to those top 50 players.  After that, it's a serpentine draft, with highest pick going to whomever has the most $$ left from the auction component of the draft and we roll dies to tie break the many owners likely to have $0 (or who are tied with more money)

Hope that makes sense, had a gummy and some (fairly unpleasant tasting but whoa working) "lip balm"

This is a correct breakdown by :stoned: Koya.  Only element to add is that there are 'make-up' picks between rounds 2 and 3 so that everyone has 7 players after that point.
