How does Bosh in his last year at Tor compare to Love today? They seem to have similar stats. What happens to Love if he joins Lebron in Cle? Bosh gets bashed today because he's not seen as a superstar but back in 2010 wasn't he on par with how Love is viewed today as a top 10 player?
Bosh was 24/11 and 25 years old.
Love was 26/12 and 25 years old (last year).
Depends a lot on who you talk to.
There are NBA GM's who don't seem like they'd trade a reasonably talented prospect for Love - which accounts for whichever morning show that was recently who revealed that among the GM's they polled directly, more of them would be inclined to take Wiggins straight up over Love. I don't think there's much doubt Love is a greater and more versatile offensive force. It all comes down to how you value defense, and what kind of players you have on your team to make up for his defensive deficiencies.
Among fans, virtually 100% of them will say Bosh isn't in Love's ballpark, because they don't understand the value of defense. They tend to value a player based on his fantasy stats. And no doubt about it: Love is a champion in that arena. But in certain aspects of the game, Bosh is an EXCELLENT defender.
But of course, basketball isn't a one man show, either. Bosh is far more well rounded, but if you have the players to make up for Love's deficiencies, his game can certainly put you over the top. He's done a great job of being that guy who accepts his deficiencies, and makes up for them by parlaying his strengths in other areas. Can't defend the post, or a stretch big? Cut him loose, maximize position for the board, and become the league's best outlet passer. Know your D is going to cost your team X points per game, but play it in a way that the counterattack gives you Y easy points.

It's got value.
PLUS, Love, in a big market, has the potential to be a HUGE marketing boon. Not only as the Great White Hope for this generation, but he's very media savvy to boot. There are plenty of markets where owners would happily take that over whatever Bosh brings, knowing they're not really contending for titles anyway.
In sum: I think Love is flat out better on O, flat out better overall if you can cover for him defensively (because his O and transition game is so awesome), and a better investment for any team's bottom line if you're an also-ran. If your team fits somewhere else on the spectrum, I'd want Bosh instead.
