Irvings TO high for the year is 8. He did that 2 times.Rose is at 3.3 TO per gamne for the year, 3.4 for January. 2.5 throwing out the 11 game.

Month over month Irving is trending down in TO's per game and Rose is going up.

He is under contract so he would have to be fired or resign. If the Bulls are relatively healthy down the stretch but continue to underperform, I certainly wouldn't be surprised if they part ways. It's no secret that Thibs and GM Gar Forman don't have the healthiest of relationships.

I'm sure some of the more statistically advanced teams have done studies, etc. I do know there's a whole lot of sports science research on intervals and how to optimally train. The research shows that the longer you keep going after failing on the interval, your performance drops quickly on that interval and all efforts after that interval are also hampered until you are fully rested.

Thibs is basically arguing 10 minute basketball intervals don't cause players to go over their thresholds. I mean I guess that's conceivable for some (these are world class athletes afterall), but with the sprinting involved, it's a pretty absurd position to take for an entire starting lineup.

Edit: and FWIW, I do know teams like the Mavs track some of their players bio-numbers in workouts, so they have a pretty good idea the amount/types of efforts their guys can do before their performance starts to falter.

Hard to really complain about any of it. I personally would have left Durant off there, but that's more about what you think the criteria should be.

I don't understand why they don't at least expand the rosters to 13. Why are their fewer players on the active roster for an exhibition where you don't want anyone playing heavy minutes than for a normal regular season game? Makes no sense. Make it 13 or even 15 and you kill two birds with one stone.
