Never going to draft again list-who you got? (1 Viewer)

I still don't get the hate on dez? He's in the same ball park as Andre Johnson, Steve Smith, Stevie Johnson, Lance Moore as far as season point total...I'm sure all those guys r starters every week. And in ppr he's even better. He's usually good for 6-9 catches. He had 13 catches one week this year. I've had him every year since he was a rookie and I'd draft him next year too.

I got really REALLY drunk several years ago at one of my drafts and took Joe Namath in the last round.I just wanted him on my team. :lmao:
I know a Dolphins fan who kept Dan Marino on his team after the QB's retirement and actually started him in his league's Super Bowl just so he could say that Marino did win a Super Bowl.

Andrea Johnson (he has been pretty good this year...but will stay away after this year...as I think he has lost the fire)

And I'm saying never. Never will draft any of these guys again...

He was (over)drafted as a low WR1, and is performing like a high-end WR3.Maybe next year he'll fall to his real value.

funny how dez bryant dominated this list haters gotta hate i guess. i thought he did quite well today and does so most weeks
funny? more like "expected" as people dont tend to gravitate towards ### holes. doesn't make anyone a hater. just an avoider.
Seriously? Be realistic. If everyone avoided ### holes, we wouldn't have enough players to field fantasy teams. I won't get into asking you your personal moral measuring bar but there are A LOT of bigger idiots out there than Bryant. The reality of it is a lot of people just can't stomach not receiving instants gratification once they overhyped a guy to start with. Then they don't have the patience. Then they get mad for bailing too early. Then, when they see him having a nice season (which he very much is...top 22 or so WR in ppr), they get mad becaue they can't come around to pulling the trigger on him again. So, its easier to be mad and be a hater than it is to just say, "Ok, I accept that the world does not work in a vaccuum." People came back around to players all the time. Lynch was out with the trash..Now he's back. Chris Jonhnson is having a much better year. People just need to accept it.But by all means, draw a line in the sand if it makes you think better of yourself. Closing a door on yourself just opens one for your opponents.

Always some ######## troll trying to redirect a thread...Hey if you dont want to look at the thread...don't click on it
Trying to be helpful by telling you there's a place to put these thoughts already. You asked who owners would never draft again--that thread is full of them. Thanks for being so cheerful though. Being a complete ####### suits you well.
Nothing wrong with this thread. Pipe down.
In he same way there's nothing wrong with getting two copies of the Sunday paper. But it's duplicitous and unnecessary.

DeMarco Murray is on track to make this list for me. I'm going to let someone else deal with him next year, and if he gets hurt again, then I'm out on him permanently.
Nice. I will gladly steal Ihim in the mid rounds next year. Overemotional drafters with a short memory = gravy.

bad idea, i get you got burned so you don't want this guy. I had rice when he was not scoring any TDs, and took him next year at the avg ADP, and felt good regardless of him burning me the year before. whats funny had he burned a diff owner some of you would have taken him, but had he burn you specifically you would have passed and missed on a good player.
No. Yo don't get it. _____________ sucks. He donut scorz snuff touchdowns fer mah teem.

Rivers I hate him! I know he had a great game today but every game I wince and pray he'll not have to many stupid plays. Even today with his good game, he was lousy in the second half.
Sounds like your fault for picking the wrong god. :ptts: Have you tried Osiris?

Didn't say anything was wrong with it. The thread I linked is full of what he's looking for. Thought he might like to give it a read. There are two people being condescending asses in this thread. Hint: I'm not one of them.

Usually like your shark pool stuff RN. I understand some feistiness the way the Ravens/Raiders game is going but this is uneccesary.
Hint: You're the only one.
Gotcha. Too big a man to turn back and apologize now. Didn't expect that."Pipe down"? Condescending.

OP's reaction to my first post, where I was being helpful and giving him what he's looking for? ###-ish.
Not really a thick skinned crowd in these threads unless neck fat counts.

Many of these guys aren't even in the NFL. Maybe next year you should buy a magazine...

Darren McFadden - first time owner this year and wish I hadn't

Philip Rivers - no real reason, just hate his guts

Michael Vick - second time owner, forgot about the roller coaster ride the first time around...never again

Reggie Bush - a lot of promise, not a lot of productivity (had a chance to draft him cheap this year, glad I didn't)

Kevin Walter - always propped up as a great secret weapon - dud has one decent game then disappears for 10 games.

GB running backs - they are an afterthought in that offense

Tony Romo - have owned him three times, never fails to disappoint

I am sure I am misisng some, but those are the ones I actually have on a piece of paper saying - DO NOT DRAFT.

Agree, Phillis and Andrea are a couple of bit.ches.

I would never say never, as there is always a shot at value at some point.

But the closest I would say to never is Finley - have owned him for 4 years and have been waiting and waiting and waiting...

Just can't imagine he will end up in a better situation than he could have had in GB.

You draft a WR22 type in the 6th round. Dez's ADP was in the 4th. That's pretty much the extent of the issue. And despite all the angst, there's no way Dez lasts til the 6th round next year, either. Which means you don't get Dez unless you buy the hype.

reggie bush

darren mcfadden (already made this decision a couple years ago)

philip rivers

deangelo williams (from last year, bum!)

kenny britt

Those are all I can think of as 'never', as opposed to 'only in a very good draft value spot'.

EDIT: Point of interest (maybe, maybe not interesting)

I also said 'never again' to drafting a redskin RB, let somebody else deal w/ that headache, but alfie has softened that one significantly for the future.

Says the guy with the Hines Ward avatar. :lmao:

Darren McFadden - I really should have known better, but he seemed like too good of a deal to pass on.

Vernon Davis - So much talent. So little use.

Jonathan Stewart - I keep drafting him as a backup RB and keep regretting it.

Eli Manning - I realize that every player can put up a stinker once in a while, but he's been just plain awful lately.

This thread was my motivation to come out of lurking and create and account.

Darren McFadden. Every year I buy into the hype of this guy and his limitless talent. All the physical tools to succeed and I always have some excuse for him when things go south: "you can't do anything about injuries, playcalling is horrible, his o-line is trash, etc." No more. It would be different if you could get this guy after round 4 or so, but McFadden is always a first or second rounder it seems and I'm the guy who always grabs him at that kind of price. Last year I survived it because I took Ray Rice in the first and McFadden in the second, but this year I grabbed McFadden late first and my team is naturally struggling because of it. Drafting McFadden is like taking a woman out to a five star restaurant thinking you got a chance for a relationship, but she's just using you for the free meal.

Also on my list: Ryan Mathews and Torrey Smith.
