Sorry I have been away. Got called into a bunch of other things that ate away at free time.

I'm going to make one pick in this draft, because I love this cover of the Prince song so hard, and I want to share it here because.

Per the rules, I apologize for my delay in making this pick, and for not making picks 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 8, 9, 10, 11, 12, 13, 14, 15, 16, 17, and 18.

This would interest me more. I think changing up from trying to find songs about or related to _________________, would be a nice change. 
 

I’m in for a all-time desert island draft.

 
If we do an all time desert island draft, it wouldn't necessarily have to step on the next cosdraft. 

I would want to run it as a real draft, picking in order, at least to start. And we're looking at all time albums vs. songs about specific topics so no real overlap there at all.

So the all-time desert island draft would be just that - any era, genre, artist, etc?

Yes exactly but once an album is gone it's gone, so it brings back some real strategy and scarcity in drafting. There was one done before (linked above) but I think the only ones who took part that are still regular posters are Marco and cosjobs (Ahrn, Fiddles and a few others are here but much less often). 

If people want to do this, I'd probably start the thread today, send out lots of @'s and start Monday, to get as much of the regular/traditional draft crew as possible time to see it and get in.

To make it iteresting, all picks from the first draft should be disallowed. Otherwise we'll end up with about the same group of albums in a slightly different order.

I think with the people in this new one the 00s albums will go much earlier than you might think. There will still be lots of "classic rock" but as a percentage of picks much less

love this - if someone sets up a secured google spreadsheet I will populate it with whatever prior deserted island results we want blocked out

I don't know how to set one up ... :bag:

I wasn't in that draft, and I'm sure at least 1-3 of my picks were probably taken then. I don't want to be penalized for something I wasn't part of.

 
According to my toes and fingers, I still owe one wildcard and two cheating songs.  Hopefully not all the cheating songs have been taken..

 
I still have one cheating song to go.  How am going to get out of this?

Looks there's only one way out

ETA: I underappreciate how great this song is.
