History is great and the Packers have it just like the Yankees, Canadians, and Lakers. My family has been in Wisconsin since prior to it even being called the Wisconsin territory and both sides were here prior to it being a state and they were fans from basically the start of the Packers and possibly from year 1 but never have asked.Nothing wrong with celebrating the history and tradition of a storied franchise. Fans of teams that haven't existed lomg don't really get it I guess. Not knocking you personally, I just don't get why anyone would try to lessen the meaning of championships from before their time. They still matter to the franchises and their fans, and sometimes that fandom goes back generations in families, which is pretty cool, IMO.I was the big one that didn't give a crap about games played in the 30's. Titletown probably needs an infrastructure makeover. All Championships are in the past by their very nature. Which astronaut were you?A quick look at Wikipedia shows 11 championships before we landed on the moon. Four of those before the end of WWII. Nice job.Like I told someone today as long as I can point to those 13 championships (most in the NFL), no Bears Super Bowl win, and no team 3-peating as a Champion (Packers only team to do it and they did it twice) then I really can care less.
You can laugh but I wouldn't trade the Packers history for the Patriots recent sucess or the Seahawks current run. Seasons come and go but the Packers are apart of the fabric of Wisconsin at this point.
Also any team can take home the trophy but only one team has the trophy named after their coach and that's the Green Bay Packers.
He deserves to be the highest paid player in the league, especially if he wins his 2nd ring.
