**NFL in London - Patriots at Jaguars** (-6, 42) 9:30/6:30am Kickoff (1 Viewer)

...

you think they might leave Ja'Lynn Polk at the hotel when it's time to leave? JEEZ what a horrible game, that would have made it 1-possesion.

Can someone explain the decision to go for 2 there? I thought conventional wisdom was to wait until you absolutely have to have 2 (in this case, once you score another TD and are looking for the tie)

Whelp, NE helped keep it a 2 score game.
Seems to make more sense to put the pressure on and make it a 1 score game.
Oh well, both teams probably want a higher pick anyway.

Never know when to start BTJ. Benched this week for Cook in flex. Ugh.
My weekly WR 3/4/Flex and when he shows up it's usually for the better

6/86/TD
5/122/TD
Chicago game last week but not a single WR on the Jags made it over 30-40 yds
5/89/TD today...how could you not start him unless you are mortally stacked at WR and Flex?
Those are his last 4 games

They haven't been doing that for the last 10 years...
We no longer keep the game going, we just go ahead and go for it since we don't want to wait and then perhaps not execute on the last play of the game

The idea is you need a two point conversion at some point. The earlier you know what you need, the better.

Seems dumb. Seems putting actual pressure on the other team would create better outcomes.
Up 8 is a whole world different than up 9.

I am stacked. Jefferson, Nabers and DK and either Cook or Reek at flex.

Then you need to trade Thomas, he's easily a Top 20 WR and most folks love him

Keeper league and he’s mine for 2 more years. I also have Nico in IR! Sold out for this year.

The first thing I notice when I started watching this game in the 2nd half was how disinterested the Pat's offense looked at lining up. It look to me like they already lost.

In a nutshell, if you wait until the end to go for 2, then you are basically in a black and white situation where if you miss the 2, you lose, as opposed to doing it earlier when you have more opportunities to do things differently to make up for it if you miss it

Double whammy of not paying attention this morning in my league. ETN owner started him and didn't see the notice. The bigsby owner didn't see it either and has him on the bench.

I know that this is an argument without a correct answer, but I was struck by this thought during the Pats drive after they stopped JAX (now down 9): "If they had kicked the XP on their last TD drive, the analytics folks would have them with a MUCH higher likelihood of winning this game than they have now." #analytics

I think that the decision to go for 2 increases your overall probability to win on average, but you still have to live with the downside risk of not making it. The numbers are not saying that the decision to go for two early will always improve your probability to win no matter what the outcome is. They are saying that more often than not, they will lead to a better eventual outcome. “Analytics” are never a guarantee, but a tool toward better decision making.

Demario Douglas is going to see a lot of targets in the 2nd Half
That’d be great
Not so much, after the 1st drive they never threw to him again, I was wondering if he sustained an injury
Believe he was benched for at least a bit for an illegal motion penalty.
Reports on Twitter say he was dealing with a pre-game illness and taking IVs. He tried playing through it.
