Nothing on the escaped convict and the guard? (1 Viewer)

They had so many vehicles.  After ditching the cop car and a SUV, Casey had a truck and Vicky had a cadillac.  I love the Sheriff's quotes.

“He will be in a cell by himself,” Singleton said. “He will stay in handcuffs and shackles while he’s in that cell and if he wants to sue me for violating his civil rights, so be it. He’s not getting out of this jail again. I’ll assure you that.”
“We don’t wish any ill will on Vicky, but she has some answers to give us,” he said. “I have every bit of trust in (her). She had been an exemplary employee. I don’t know if we’ll ever know” what happened to change that.
“It just tells us that it was very well planned and calculated,” Singleton said. “Obviously she well-planned this escape down to a T.”
The day before her retirement, she takes off with a 6'9" murderer and then they hang out 150 miles away from where their getaway car was discovered.  The murderer had been receiving favors while in jail so I'm not sure what the Sheriff means by Vicky being an exemplary employee.  Standards are low.

Right before she was going to retire and get a house on the beach. Supposedly made purchases at a sex shop. So a couple nights of bangin the bad guy was worth the rest of her life. Great choice.

I have seen several interviews with Mr. Singleton. He is taking this hard on an emotional level. He mentioned that it is a small department (less than 100 people), and everyone knows everyone from way back when, that you're either kin or you grew up in the same neighborhood.

The deputy in charge of communication with Vicky's mom was an elementary school classmate of Vicky's. That deputy was the one who had to break the news of her death.

This reminds me of the Brian Laundrie manhunt. I got sucked into the whole "living off the land" theory and that he could be anywhere.  Nope, killed himself in the preserve around the corner.

It's a twist on Occams Razor . Most criminals are going to take the simplest, dumbest way out.
