*** OFFICIAL *** 13/14 Off-Season Dynasty Trade Thread (6 Viewers)

My biggest things about Torrey is I don't think he's a good route runner along with his hands are awful. I've tried selling him in a couple leagues that I have him in.

In that lineup, I'd call spiller and Cobb roughly equal. Spiller might be worth more.
I am probably more down on Spiller than most I think. Dude is a 27 year old RB with one decent year so far and the rest duds.

Not like anything has changed to make me think he is in store for 3 straight productive seasons.
He turns 27 in August, netted over 1100 yards from scrimmage last year and 1700 the year before. I think you're undervaluing him.

But then, I just traded Cameron++ for him, so I'm biased.
He will be 27 before week 1, so he is 27 for the purposes of football and fantasy football.

As I said, he has had ONE decent year. Last year was pretty bad, especially for fantasy. His 1100 yards were pretty worthless for fantasy purposes.

I think he is talented and COULD do well..............but I don't know too maybe RBs in history that finally did well when they hit 27 after underwhelming for a while prior to that. Well, except maybe his teammate Fjax :tebow:
A few "late bloomers" that come to mind:

Thomas Jones

Cedric Benson

Michael Turner (circumstances dictated his lack of early success)

Priest Holmes

I turned this down. Thought it was a decent offer.

Give:

Mark Ingram, 2.03

Receive:

Rueben Randle, Brandon Bolden

I am actually the team that traded away Cobb. I know the other guy got the better end of the deal, but I was looking at Ryan Mathews as a#1 RB and #2 was either Deangelo Williams or Steven Jackson. Have an aging, must win now team. Normally I hate any deal where I give up the best player, but in this one, I'm prepared to live with it.

Lineup is

Cam or Romo

Spiller

Mathews

Calvin

Cruz

Torrey Smith

Roddy

Colston

Vernon Davis
Not sure you even lost that deal in a start 2 RB Spiller is a nice add. TSmith is a solid WR2/3 and Colston can maybe do the same.

Cobb is the only player on the other side that has any history of being a fantasy asset. Randle is as much a "hope he breaks out add" and no sure thing. LaFell is filler.

I think that trade is much closer than some obviously trading away the best player for some solid FF starters (assuming Spiller improves form last year). Sometimes these are moves owners have to make to stay in contention and for your team it makes sense

And he just sent Randle for 3.01 (3.03, we have a 1.13 and 2.13 for toilet bowls)

I guess I like Colston more than most. With Lance Moore and Sproles both gone, Brees is going to have fewer targets that he trusts. I could see Colston really have a good couple years and catching a ton of balls. He's not a long-term guy, but give me Colston as my WR2 for the next couple years and I'm pretty happy.

Michael floyd is so overrated right now its ridiculous.
Even IF Ball > Floyd. He isn't but Ball carries some value right now so I would be fine if people want Ball more today. More fine if they want to trade me Floyd for Ball

Eifert >>>>>>>> Hill

Dalton + 1.05 + 2.10

For

Tannehill 1.03 + 2.03
Congrats on being in a league with Andy's mom.
Give me dalton side, but only if I can wait until after the nfl draft to make sure cinci doesn't take a qb.
The 2.3 looks like a late 1st in other years. Looking at the talent that will be there I'd trade Dalton straight up for the 2.3 and find myself another QB2.
I would take Tannehill over Dalton straight up. He's been just as good with a way worse supporting cast. Will only get better IMO.

long term, yes.

Next year or two? Give me Dalton.

14Tm - QRRWWWTFF - PPR: 1/1/1.5

A gave up:
Gillislee, Mike MIA RB
Year 2014 Draft Pick 1.01
Year 2014 Draft Pick 1.10

B gave up:
Lacy, Eddie GBP RB
Starks, James GBP RB
Year 2014 Draft Pick 2.14

Even in a 14 team 2 RB league, I'd take the picks over Lacy. Might prefer the 1.01 alone. The 1.10 is a great bonus, especially with the 1.5 PPR for TE. Should be able to get a very good prospect in that #10 spot.

Dalton finished #3 overall in points for QB's in my leagues vs 14th overall for Tannehill.

I am a huge Dolphins homer. But for FF....give me Dalton.

It's not as close as you think.

You grossly overpaid for him both times. Even if you believe he's the next Antonio Gates, market value dictates you got hosed. These guys aren't within 20 spots of each other on any dynasty start-up I can find.

I am curious to see what start-ups where this is the case?

I think they are all closely ranked players. On DLF the ADP for April has Green more than a round ahead of Rice and a few picks ahead of Williams. I like Williams a lot but in that particular league he was my #6 WR and I didn't really have a TE.

The Rice deal I made because I can't really compete this year and Rice has probably 2 seasons left.

Plus, I don't see any deals this year where Rice was going for a mid-to-late first round like Green has. I like Green more than Ebron and he has gone as high as 1.04 in pre-draft leagues I am in.

Not sure what start-ups you are looking at. I'd prefer Green to Rice and Williams/Green is probably a toss-up from a "market value" standpoint. Depending on roster composition, I'd be up for taking the Green side.

using all my creativity i can't come up with a scenario where rice is top 10 this year. he's going to miss games due to suspension and he was awful last year. i'd take green easily over rice. I'd also take green over williams

Not sure I understand how a guy drafted (and considered) a top5 RB one year ago can't in any creative scenario score in the top 10

Even missing a few games if he is suspended I don't think it is actually a massive reach to think he can get there. Not a big group of players that are likely to even have the opportunity to do it let alone the talent

Weird, I thought he got a steal on the first (long term) and a fair deal on the second.

Prefer Green in both trades; don't consider either of them close.

The wife just accepted this trade which netted her Calvin Johnson

12 Team PPR. I believe Wright is pretty underrated and his TD totals have to go up. I think Cleveland drafts a RB on day 2 and knocks Tate down a bit.

I haven't seen a TE as over valued as green in a long time. Finley at least was the starter.

Green is going for waaaaaaaaaaay too much for never have done anything, number 2 TE on his team, and not a high draft pedigree. I could understand if he had maybe 50 catches last season and didn't have Gates in front of him.

Well i think he's going to get suspended for 2-4 games. So say he misses 3. Pierce will (most likely) be the feature back for those 3 games and I doubt rice just steps back into a lead back role and dominates carries upon his return. Even if he does, it will probably take another game or two. So you are looking at him playing 13 games, and of those 13, 1 or 2 he'll be splitting carries in a best case scenario.

So i dont think he has the situation to do it and as far as the talent, who knows
