Personal preference really. If I had a choice of winning year 1 and losing every year thereafter vs losing years 1-4 and finally winning year 5, I'd rather take the latter. This isn't true. A championship is year N > championship in year N+5.Marshall is a WR, not a RB. And he's an elite, borderline HOF level talent who seems pretty likely to age more gracefully than his peers, particularly those whose game is based more around speed. Yes, it's a dynasty league, but titles over the next few years count just as much as those five years out. And that's assuming that Patterson learns to do more than catch bubble screens and run reverses at some point in the future.I can understand that in redraft leagues, but in dynasty leagues I'll take Patterson without any hesitation. Marshall will be 30 in a couple of weeks. This Patterson love has got to stop. lol I'm a huge fan, but good lord.I wouldn't deal Patterson for Marshall, no way.I wouldn't deal Marshall for Patterson, no way.Would it be crazy to take Brandon Marshall and flip him for Patterson ? Seeing his growth just curiousAnother thing on Patterson, I think there were some questions about how long it would tske him to catxh on, which likelyowered his draft stock. I think he came on faster than people thouhjt.
At the end of that negotiation process, did it really come down to the 2015 upgrade from a 3rd to a 2nd?Nothing bigger than this one......I'm not involved but I'm speechless......Incredible.

was just curious, I think Austin is capable of Jackson like #s if he could get a good offense around himI definitely have djax ahead of austin. Obviously proven he can play, and is in a good situation. But I still don't have djax near the top of my WR rsnkings or anything.
He is capable, but he needs everything to go right. I don't see very high potential for him to put up consistent numbers over the years. I will say over the next 5 years he has one really good one and 4 so-so years. Maybe not even one really good year.was just curious, I think Austin is capable of Jackson like #s if he could get a good offense around himI definitely have djax ahead of austin. I would take the Green sideQRWWWFT PPR and 1.25 TE bonus

Tight end bonus skews it a little, but I still like Hunter to breakout. I'd give a mid/late 1st for him; I wouldn't for Green.QRWWWFT PPR and 1.25 TE bonus

I thought it was a lot of picks to give up but love that Lacy is an every down back with elite prospects, cuff too just incase, and Morris is still a solid starting RB coming off a down touchdown year but still put up 1275 yards and gets the ball A LOT.maxhyde said:Franklin/Lacy/Morris/Patton for mePhenix said:Biggest trade I have been a part of in quite some time!

Two potential studs for one. Gronk's the best player in this trade and Reed carries the highest risk due to concussions but Gronk carries immense risk himself for his laundry list of injuries. Due that immense risk I think there are 3 players in this deal that I think in a year or two we could be looking at as the best player in the trade and Hartline is obviously not it. Depending on my roster in some FFPC leagues I'd not even keep Hartline. So I'd rather be on Patterson/Reed side.Reed / Patterson for me. Barely downgrade my qb points to get a probable stud WR who is probably top 10 on most dynasty rankings, if not higher??? Yeah, stafford and Jeffrey side.12 team PPR, 6 points all TDs

There is risk on both sides. But one of the 3 is the best ever at his position(PPG), and one of the best ever outside of it, too. Hardly seems logical to chalk the deal up to a 2 for 1.Two potential studs for [proven] one.

IMO Rodgers' production is much safer moving forward. He's actually an elite player; Stafford is just a guy who throws more than anyone else.Has rodgers been outscoring staffors by a ton the past few years?

I personally don't think it's 100% that Stafford continues to set records for attempts moving forward with a new regime in place. Likely, given the personnel there, but they'd be better served asking him to do less IMO.And will continue to keep throwing as much or more than anyone else.IMO Rodgers' production is much safer moving forward. Of course rodgers is safer. Which is why there is a top stud WR coming back in the deal to make it a no brainer.
