And will continue to keep throwing as much or more than anyone else. Of course rodgers is safer. Which is why there is a top stud WR coming back in the deal to make it a no brainer.

I personally don't think it's 100% that Stafford continues to set records for attempts moving forward with a new regime in place. Likely, given the personnel there, but they'd be better served asking him to do less IMO.As far as that deal, I take Jeffrey and Stafford in a slam dunk too, but not because I think Stafford and Rodgers are close in value.

Who said they are close in value? I just don't think the points per game decrease is nearly as significant as adding a stud WR.

Michael is coming back on the Rodgers side and is not an insignificant piece. Looking at it another way, Jeffery vs. Rodgers (advantage Jeffery) and Michael vs. Stafford (advantage Michael), makes the deal seem pretty close to me.

Seems pretty logical to me when that proven stud you speak off has had more surgeries this early in his career than any relevant fantasy football player I can ever recall. And all this after he missed a year of college and was removed on the NFL teams draft boards citing his back would lead to a shortened career.

What affect do you think the surgeries on his arm will have moving forward? Do root canals count as a surgery? Ingrown toenail removal?

The ACL and arm were freak accidents. He has recovered fully from both back surgeries.

I wouldn't put much stock in the opinions of those who removed Gronk from their draftboards, if those rumors are even accurate.

His injury history is a collection of freak injuries, an infection that cleared, and the back stuff which is concerning, but not damning.

why? Isn't Spiller still in a horrible timeshare coming off a terrible year and isn't Crabtree at best decent, but will never be elite and is most likely overrated? At least Patterson has the chance to be elite and Bell will get about 6000 carries a year for awhile.

Even if Crabtree is not elite, I still think his numbers will be close to Patterson if not better. Not sold on Bell at all. I do think you can get more for Bell/Patterson at the moment though

I think the surgeries stand a strong chance of diminishing his production next season and shortening his career in the long term. It makes him not clean in terms of grading his future or immediate present, it makes him a player with issues. If you think his injuries don't cloud his short and long term outlook or you just want to wash them all away as freak occurrences that is your call but not an opinion I agree with in the least.

At the end of that negotiation process, did it really come down to the 2015 upgrade from a 3rd to a 2nd?

I have no idea which side I like. Would take me an hour to figure it out.

I like every player in this trade and believe Crabtree and Spiller are both at least a little undervalued but I'd still take the Bell/Patterson side rather easily due to the significant age difference.

I would take the Bell side but I can see why someone would take the other side. Spiller had put up rb1 numbers over a year and a half period before he got injured last year and never was the same. Crabtree just got done having a break out year before he got injured, but when he came back he looked rusty but he was looking better and better every week.

The question was just fine. I don't particularly agree that 4 PPG is a "ton", and using Brian Hartline to bridge the gap for the addition of Jeffrey is borderline MR.

Give me the ability to list 50 obscure second rate players. ONE of them with score around 200 or a little more like Hartline. But which one?

Will say it again. Rodgers is a lot more VALUABLE than Stafford, but the point per game difference doesnt make up for the addition of a 24 year old stud WR.
