we get troupe, and then we still get a stud de who we were looking at all along. that was a great trade!!!!!GO TITANS!!!!thanks floyd and jeffaka the "value draft masters"i am suprised that they did not go with dockett there though

Probably already said earlier but this is shaping up to be a great draft for GM's with mid to late first rounders in dynasty leagues

I'm having a hard time dealing with the fact that the 'Boys could have had any back in the draft and ended up with not the 3rd best back in the draft, but the third best back named Jones in the draft :wall: :wall: :wall:

don't be a victim of an instant gratification society, just wait until that 1st rounder next year...... :foos:

Did he really say that? If so, it isn't a good start for him.
Yeah, pretty much. I was just listening on the radio, and he was talking about "don't worry though -- they'll get theirs." Mike & Mike said the audio didn't do the creepy uncomfortableness of the interview justice, because apparently he was sitting there FUMING that Gibbs lied to him and took Taylor instead after promising him he'd be #5. This guy is a string of felonies just waiting to happen.

Colts - Bob Sanders SSWhat's wrong with Doss?
And Bashir????????????????I thought S was one area they had the starters. I can't believe with the big need at LB and CB they go to a Safety here. And to early to draft for depth????

Just wait until his agents(The Poston Tools) starts with the crap as well. What a trio of jerks!

Winslow vows revenge on WAS week 4. What a knucklehead. :rotflmao:
Man this kid has got no class at all. I bet that his old teammate Taylor will be looking forward to that game as well.

Pats needed a big "wr" so they took Ben Watson. The guy had sick speed numbers. I like it.Wilfork and Watson is quite a start to the draft.

all you have to do is ask, he's a Raider
The Raiders shying away from the sexy picks and committing to rebuilding the O-line. The steal of this draft could be whoever ends up running for N. Turner.:StillRootingForFargas:

Agreed, but I think Detroit has the early stranglehold on "Best Draft" so far....And now that I think about it, I thought I read/heard that the Cowboys were always high on JJ, hence the choice to trade out of the first and still get their man, and a Top 10 next season  :) -fe

Detroit obviously has run away with the award for best draft. The Pats don't come close. I have to say, things like this are why Millen is so hard to fire. He just finds a way when the draft rolls around.

Winslow may have an attitude and be quite immature, but there is no doubting his skills. He's a Randy Moss at TE. I have no doubts that he'll succeed.

Justin Smiley picked by the 49ers at 46

Outstanding drive blocker with superb power and incredible quickness for his position ... The three-year starter holds the school's weight room record in the hang clean with a 415-pound lift ... He is a two-time recipient of the Tide's Sylvester Croom Commitment to Excellence Award and won the Mal Moore Leadership Award as a junior ... A mainstay on the offensive line, he started 36 games (including 2001 Independence Bowl) for Alabama and never allowed a quarterback sack during his collegiate career ... A very emotional player, Justin commands respect from teammates and opponents alike, thanks to his superb strength and fierce desire to win ... "Justin is as good as anybody I've coached," Alabama offensive line coach Bob Connelly, a nine-year coaching veteran with stops at Texas A&M, San Jose State and Washington State, said. "As far as intensity and athletic ability and strength, all of the things that you want your linemen to possess, he possesses. He plays the game at another level."

Exactly, Winslow should be top 5 at his position. Most of the WRs will be lucky to be top 20 at their position. I prefer Winslow in a TE rquired league.
Well, not to be totally contrary, but I'll take the WR20 over the TE5 in any draft at any time under any rules where both TE and WR are required.Let's see, Boo Williams or Andre Johnson?

What's with Gallery/Grove drafting by the Raiders when they have a good and deep OL already (and under contract)? Trade winds a blowing......
Well- if they would like a DE, I think O-Gun for Gallery could be arranged - straight up. ;)

Am I the only one who really likes the RB Dallas drafted. He seems to have the two things that Hambrick lacks - tackle breaking and "giddee-up" speed (speed to burst away from the first line defenders).Plus, he seems to glide along the line instead of stopping and cutting - which was how Hanbrick often got stuffed for a loss.

From what I hear, Dallas liked K Lones and J Jones as the best two rbs in the draft. THey felt the diff btw them was minimal, if that's the case, it was a great move.

Well - looks like we've slowed down posting after the first round, too.I'm taking a dinner break, and then I'll take a peek back in.

I especially like the fact that Parcells had him as a very close 2nd choice to K Jones as best RB in the drafft. Tuna can judge RB-flesh

I like it a lot. It was a much better pick than if they would have taken Greg Jones like some Dallas fan in another thread wanted. Julius gives them more options with his quickness to get outside and his receiving ability.
