***OFFICIAL 2009 NFL DRAFT*** (1 Viewer)

Rey is so over-rated and it is showing today....just because he delivers big hits does not mean he will be productive in the NFL. His speed is seriously a question mark.
It's not his speed, it is his utter lack of instincts. He makes the big hits when he is blitzing and doesn't have to think. He is a 2 down linebacker with no instincts. That is a late 2nd day player, IMO.Laurinitis is also a very similar player, St. Louis is not going to be happy with him.

(C'mon, Lions, don't screw this up!!!)
:lmao: They don't have a MLB and they pass on Maluaga..... :lmao:
:wall: :wall: :wall: :wall: My GOD wtf?! Did they call up Millen and ask for advice?! Delmas?!!? Maluaga and Lauraintis available there, and even Everette Brown, and they pass on all of them for some CB....
CB?Delmas is the best safety in the draft and has drawn comparisons to Bob Sanders.
forget it...he's on a roll.....

I'd have preferred the Lions take one of the MLBs, but I like Delmas a lot.
I'm mad they passed on Oher, but so far they have the #1 QB, #1 TE, and #1 Safety. It's a solid draft and I can't complain. But somehow they need to address the OL.
 Like I said before, the Lions aren't going to win next year, so it's more important that they get the best players rather than fill holes. However, OL might be an exception. I don't feel good about having $70 million invested in a QB who has to play behind the current line.

LOL at the Donkeys....where is Mark Schlereth telling us how the Bears overpaid for Cutler and how the Donkeys won that trade hands down? The Donkeys are horrible .... get your brown bags out Denver fans.

might have been the Bears 1st for next year.

Smith could certainly be the best CB from this class.

Seriously, WTF was Denver thinking with that trade? 37th overall for a 1st rounder. I call shenanigans on that transaction, that shouldn't have even been allowed.

Eh - Culpepper will take that beating and then they can upgrade next year.

Any chance E Brown, Butler, or Ebon Britton last until 49ers pick? If they get one of those guys, or even Rey, they HAVE to get an A for Day 1.

McDaniel just made a move that he saw the Patriots benefit from more than once. Was he paying attention? I'm rarely a fan of dealing away a future #1 and if you do you better be getting a known commodity (i.e. a veteran) that will have an impact.

I am shocked Butler has dropped this far. He is an unbelievable corner. Plays very well against the run too.

 I think the Lions are having a darn good draft so far. I think they would have been equally or better served going OL, but safety is definitely a need in that division.

Not to pile on but how do you go from a near playoff team that just missed with a great offense to a team with a bad offense without a good QB and still a bad defense AND give up what should be a high #1 all in one offseason? Not to mention the downgrade at HC and apparantly GM? Things are looking up for the Chiefs if only based on what Denver and Oakland are doing ... although they reached too and should have traded down.

except he's doing it wrong. Patriots stockpile picks. Broncos are giving them away.

I think someone could have made a lot of money prior to the season, or even any time during the season, betting that Clay Matthews would go ahead of Rey Maualuga.

He was listed as CB on NFL.com.As for best safety in draft. Meh, I sure hope he proves me wrong... of course, I say the same thing about Stafford...
