Augusta doesn't make as much as you would think for the event. Badges are originally sold for much cheaper than they are scalped for. Concessions are legendarily cheap. And corporate sponsorship is almost non-existent.

They put the onus on their members, because ultimately it's about keeping control there.

Reed, Kirk, Dubuisson, Every, the last two winners on tour in Jones and Bowditch, somebody else not horrible who I'm forgetting and then 22 or so other guys, most of who have no shot but you all get 22 of them.

I saw this too. Definitely seemed like best value.
