Was that not offside?
last touched by England
Was that not offside?
He was onside when it hit Gerrard I believe.
Looked off when it hit gerrard but did the Uruguay player not flick it first? then gerrard's pass become irrelevant.

Or maybe we need the ref from Mexico's first game calling offside on defender flicks.
He was off the whole time. I don't know what the call there was. The offside rules apparently still confuse me.

Hopefully when we get the gyfcat gif we can look at it better.

Cant be offside on a goal kick i believe. If its a punt then offside rules apply. (correct me if im wrong). He looked on with the initial kick from the gk. If the uruguay player flicks it hes off. If it did not hit uruguay and only Gerrard he is not offside, despite what the linesman said in Mexico's game.

you might be right, hard to see in real time even on the replay

I have tried my best to root for my gb English cousins during these things but man they make it tough
No way, easiest team to "root for" for me gb. My grandfather in law came over from England for 3 months (87 yrs old) from Dec-Feb and he started every monring off with a pint of Bacardi 151 and a splash of coke, the glass never stayed empty until after supper when he switched to beer. #### faced = easy to root for in spanglish...

Is Japan vs Greece Asia's best shot at a win?

Limeys + Mexicans = :h: :banned:

Gerrard looking poor.
In both games.
at least it will all be Rooney's fault
As it should be ;)
Fo reals. If you think Rooney looked better than Gerrard, you're fooling yourself. Take the Man U glasses off. Rooney looked like ####, except for one play, in each match. Gerrard looked good in the first one, poor in the second. Neither set the world alight, but to focus on Gerrard, and then whine that the blame will go on Rooney is laughable. He fully deserves the criticism.

No. No he was not. I think the first one he was fine in. Just didn't do enough to get them over the hump. Today, not good at all.

Relax man, I dont think any of them looked good. Just making a comment on no matter what happens its always Rooney's fault. He could have played lights out and not scored and it would still be his fault.

And I am not saying he shouldnt have blame, just making fun of the overemphasis on 1 player.

ETA esp since that 1 player did get a goal and an assist in 2 games...... :boxing:
