They did, but it's always amazed me how very few people understood the old rule, and how few people realize how it's been changed.i thought that they recently added a roster spot and did away with the "emergency QB" thing?Well, couldn't Sanchez be the emergency, and if Bradford gets dinged and has to come out for a few plays, put Tebow in. Then if Bradford is determined to be out for the game, then put Sanchez in?Polish Hammer said:I think what he is getting at is his availability on game day without affecting Sanchez's ability to get in the game if (knock on wood) Bradford got knocked out of a game.
Agreed. Also, pretty smart move by the Cardinals in that they get to try him out for a month and a half and if they don't think he will amount to anything, they can cut him at no cost.Good for chip. Always nice getting a draft pick for someone who was going to just be cut anyway.
You think The Eagles regret that? I imagine that Barkley has mad regrets over not entering the draft his junior year...cost him millions.Ok Shahbucks. Barkley was a bad pick.
It was obvious after watching for 15 minutes last nightAgreed. Well on one hand it's disappointing that they missed on this many picks but reality is that most teams miss on a bunch of picks. On the other hand, you have to give them credit for not hanging on just to prove themselves right.Disappointed with the Watkins release... Not saying he didn't deserve to be cut, but now that's two 4th rounders and a 6th rounder we've cut bait with in a short time - we're going to need to be hitting on some of these young guys...

Another blow in the "War On Christianity"@AdamSchefter: Eagles released QB Tim Tebow, per source.
My first thought was RGIII. Could see Manuel as well. Should be interesting.Wow. I know there was talk of only carrying 2, but I didn't really believe it. Wonder if this means we're after Manuel or RG3 now or are comfortably going to have Sam and Mark as our only 2 qbs which is kinda scary.
The Eagles are the most liberal team in the league. Can't have players quoting the bible in post game interviews.Another blow in the "War On Christianity"@AdamSchefter: Eagles released QB Tim Tebow, per source.
Drop one Christian, get anotherHmmm...
@Rand_Getlin: Multiple sources tell me the #Eagles have interest in Christian Ponder. Team always maintained it's about putting together "the best 53".
If Tim Tebow has a thought, is it a Christian Ponder?Drop one Christian, get anotherHmmm...

To them it is. Once he's out of the headlines, they have to go back to work.I like how the NFL network is reporting the Tim Tebow cut with breaking news scroll like it is equivalent to a national disaster.

If you ask some FORMER Eagles they may not agree that the old Chipper is a liberal dude :(The Eagles are the most liberal team in the league. Pls be trueDid anyone else see the rumor that the Birds might be talking to Seattle about Cam Chancellor? Apparently the other team talking is the NYG.
haven't heard much, but this would be exciting as ####. And we have a spot open for him....Did anyone else see the rumor that the Birds might be talking to Seattle about Cam Chancellor? Apparently the other team talking is the NYG.
From NFL draft scout. Doesn't sound like a Chip QB. Ponder seemed to make more sense.@AdamSchefter: Eagles claimed QB Stephen Morris off waivers from Jacksonville; he replaces Tim Tebow.

05/06/14 - 2014 NFL Draft Quarterbacks: Stephen Morris, Miami (Fla.), 6-2, 213, 4.63...Morris has the arm strength and athleticism to deserve consideration as an NFL quarterback, but his physical performance was impacted significantly by an Achilles injury last year. Also in question are his decision making skills, especially under pressure, after poor performances and a 1-6 career record against ranked opponents. - Frank Cooney, The Sports Xchange 01/25/14 - 2014 Senior Bowl, Missed Opportunity: Stephen Morris, QB, Miami - Morris earned the nickname "Tin Cup" from some scouts at the Senior Bowl due to his ability to make the amazing throw but struggles with the routine passes commonplace in every NFL offense. Morris boasts a strong arm and throws the deep ball with touch but like the other two quarterbacks on the North squad (Boyd and Virginia Tech's Logan Thomas), he struggled with accuracy throughout the week. - Rob Rang, NFLDraftScout.com 01/21/14 - 2014 Senior Bowl: Another mixed bag from the North QBs on Tuesday...After an inconsistent practice on Monday, NFL scouts and coaches were eager to see the North quarterbacks on Tuesday, especially with a strong wind swirling around Ladd-Peebles Stadium. But unfortunately it was another inconsistent practice for Virginia Tech QB Logan Thomas, Clemson QB Tajh Boyd and Miami (Fla.) QB Stephen Morris. Morris showed improvements from Monday's practice with better all-around accuracy. He appeared to be taking a little bit off his fastball, which allowed him to better control the placement of the throw. Morris' delivery and arm strength appear effortless and easy, but he still struggled with errant passes and inconsistent throws. - Dane Brugler, NFLDraftScout.com
Third QB is Stephen Morris.I'll take Ponder over Tebow. Would take a chance on Manuel before either of them though. Ponder hasn't been the same since he "rekt" his shoulder.
I second that. How about we make a pact to not discuss the 3rd an again. Anyone with me?
Right, his bradford move that you dissed so hard looks like a disaster. He's looked awful so far.ShaHBucks said:Man, I'll never understand what Chip see in QBs.
Third that. We spent enough time talking about a 3rd qb (myself included) all offseason. Strange how it was interesting following those 2 battle it out and neither makes it and we grab that guy though haha.Kwai Chang Caine said:I second that.Bigboy10182000 said:How about we make a pact to not discuss the 3rd an again.
