Shah is a high quality poster who's uncovered several gems on this board long before the mainstream.

Pls ease off, Deamon. He's earned the right to be wrong about a bold claim or two without taking abuse. Let's not chase him away because it would be a real loss to this forum.
The forum was much better for the time he took off the last little while (which he said he would stop posting in here). Do you really think this forum is better when an eagles fan comes on here saying "chip will be back in college next year, im off his bandwagon, he's assembled a piece of #### team that is going nowhere"
But your sniping back and forth isn't making this a better place either. He is obviously a huge Foles fan. Maybe he knows him, maybe he is him, who knows, and Foles being traded really got to him and her overreacted. That's how it looks to me, anyway. Now he's over it Let's all move on and enjoy the season. I hear there's a game on tomorrow night.
Seriously, get a room you two.

Has anyone read Boykin's story? He wrote in the players tribune about the trade, Chip/team, fans, and of course how well he was playing. The more these guys that left keep talking, the easier it is to understand why they left.

I don't see anything wrong with that story. He doesn't say anything bad about the Eagles and he sounds pretty intelligent. Night and day compared to things about Lesean and Desean.

So Eagles homers, you guys think Agholor can be started in FF week1 or what?
Yeah. Depends on your other options though. He's probably a decent wr3 or 4.So many mouths to feed though. Will be hard to guess who has big weeks from week to week. With Ertz likely out, there's a good chance Agholor does something. Eagles will run more than people think. Expect Bradford to have 25 or less throws this week.

I think he gets better as the season goes on. Prob wouldn't start him this week though unless your out of options.

Yea definitely not as silly as McCoy, but the me attitude just oozes out.

I didn't get this at all, he admitted he said some things on the way out as anyone could be expected to be upset that someone didn't want them. He then said that he understood he's 5-10 and not viewed as critical or even wanted in Chip's system. He even said that he thanks Philly again for granting him another good opportunity. I'm a huge Boykin fan and Steelers hater and I thought it was a great article.

This. Luckily I'm playing him in a few leagues this week.

It all depends how the game goes but I think Bradford will look to JM when he needs a big play. Interested to see how he spreads the ball around and just HOW much we run the ball. I think Nelson could catch a ball and take it to the house tomorrow night though, so he's not a bad start. I'd say he's a solid WR3 this week so start him if you want to flex a WR or if it's a start 3wr league.

The got that same "this season is going to special" feeling watching that Bradford TD pass to Sproles last week as I got when T.O. caught that TD bomb on the first play of his first home game in the preseason of 2004 and when Marion Duncan hit that game-winning grand slam off Lee Smith on Mother's Day in 1993.
Ok, now the pessimistic Eagles fan in me is convinced that this season might instead turn out closer to Randall tearing his ACL in the first game of the '91 season. We come out flat tomorrow and lose, then lose the home opener to Dallas while watching Bradford go out for the year.

I think this is literally going to be an all-or-nothing, Super Bowl run or bust season. No in between.

I'll never be happy a guy is injured, but this Dez thing sure does change our matchup vs them next week. Would have been nice to have a shot at dropping them to 0-2 and potentially out of the division race. Hopefully the last drive didn't give romo a ton of confidence though.

Witten will be a challenge to stop, but I think Maxwell can do a pretty good job shutting down Terrance Williams. Would love to be in a shootout with them sans-Dez, as I doubt they can keep up without them.

Ok ok I'll just focus on tomorrow. Week 2 is just going to be so huge though.

EDIT: They're now saying 6-8 weeks. If he misses 7 weeks then that means he misses our 2nd game against them too.

It's why I don't fret the injury worries for our team. How is Dez's injury history? Terell Suggs? Luke Kechley? Desean Jackson? It just happens. Players get hurt so worrying about whether a guy is more or less likely than another guy is pointless. IF our guys get hurt, will past injury history have played any role in it? Can't worry about injury.

I heard they lost DE Gregory for 4-6 weeks as well. He looked good last night. Reminded me of Jevon Kearse, with the long arms and outside speed.

It hurts dallas badly. I wasn't impressed by either team last night. We are primed to own this division
Coughlin should be canned after last nights game IMO. He's been around far to long to make the mistake he did on 3rd and goal. That was inexcusable.
Same for Eli. He's been in the league long enough to know how to manage the clock. Especially if he wants to be paid like one of the top QBs in the league. It looked like he panicked.

If nothing else the HC can't assume Eli knows this and has to have that communicated to him when the play is called in.

@TesslerSports: The Miami Dolphins are signing Raheem Mostert (RB/KR, Purdue) to their 53-man roster off the Philadelphia Eagles practice squad today.

Did you also see Jennings saying they told him not to score on 2nd down? Would have been up 10, wow.

Im nervous about tonight...
Why? I feel great about it
I hate facing a team in primetime when its their opener. Even the bad teams get up for those games it seems.

I did just see today that Atlanta is the only NFC team Chip has not faced yet. Hopefully theyre not ready for the tempo
Their defense is horrendously bad. No way it changes that much in one offseason. Ryan and Julio will get theres but after that they are a weak team

We faced their head coach last year with Seattle though, so they have some experience from a coaching standpoint.

Really looking forward to watching this game. Lots FF expectations. Of course as a Cowboys fan I'm hopin the dirty birds pull out a win, but I think you guys handle ur biz tonight.

Yeah I think the Eagles are fully capable of putting up 35+ on the Falcons. I don't see them doing the same to the Eagles' D. If Atlanta wins, it will be due to turnovers/special teams.

The cowgirls did from 2 years ago to last year.

Their running game was their defense. Atl has no running game and no oline

:banned: for my Eagles brethren.

:boxing: for Deamon and Shahbucks, time to kiss and makeup.

:football: to the Falcons, lets do this.

 to the Giants for last night.

Chip said something about this recently, I forget the exact quote but something along the lines of how they prepare year round to stay in great shape for that tempo. Other teams think they can spend the week leading up to playing the Eagles doing a few extra wind sprints and that'll help. Obviously it doesn't.

Falcons play tough in home opener, but can't keep up with the Eagles.

Philly 42, Falcons 34
