I get that. I really was feeling down on chip for being so predictable and was kind of questioning his ability. Seems like they are doing a better job of varying the tempo today.
Dallas is winning too which doesn't really help us even with the win. But need to get this one under our belt and move forward. If Brees is out next week as expected, I really hope he's out week 5 too.

Atl brings it to a 3 point game.
Wow what a day. We are now the Vegas favourites to win the division. Only one game back of Dallas now, and they have some tough games coming up.
Bradford looked much better. People will look at his numbers and say he was bad, but those two easy drops costed him a 200+ 2-3 TD game. Running game was very impressive, won't be much talk about the oline this week. Sproles needs to get the ball more, even with murray back. Lots finally went our way today, and the defense is really coming together so well.
Will need to get the offense firing even better though against teams that can score.

Bradford still didn't look great, but to Deamons point, Mathews and Sproles BOTH dropped certain TDs off the same wheel route. Agholor continues to look less than pedestrian to me. Sproles is a monster and Mathews looked great,a side from that fumble. Defense played their asses off today, not that the Jets are a juggernaut. Cautiously optimistic.
I watched the game where the receivers costed him a 250 yard 3 TD game. Where the run game was working so we stuck with that (finally). Where he threw a few perfect balls that many other qb's would miss. I never said he had a great game, I said he looked better and was good enough for us to beat a good Jets team today.
How did Foles do vs a far worse Pitt D?

That Jordan Hicks looks damn good
We have to be leading the league in drops by a lot too.

afaik huff was a healthy scratch.
which is another concerning sign of poor decision making by the staff considering miles austin and riley cooper are still getting targets.

Just a different opinion. I don't think he looked any different than the first two weeks.
Oh woo hoo, Foles must've sucked against Pittsburgh so that's makes Bradford's day better? Stop, I couldn't give a rats ### what Foles does for the rest of his career, it means nothing. We have Bradford, can we stop with the weekly Foles comparisons? Makes no sense.
I've never been making the comparisons, but lots of posters have been posting Foles' numbers as a crack at chip and bradford. Wasn't directed at you.

"I've never been" (past tense). I was making the comparison this time as I am sick of reading Foles' > Bradfords weekly stats in this thread. So yes I made the comparison this week for those people who rush in here to post Foles' stats after good weeks.

Yea, Hicks looked good. Guy was around the ball, looking like the real deal, Need to get Kendricks back to put them both on the field.

They looked improved, but only because of coming off a historically inept showing. The run game was improved with a normal tempo and running with the QB under center. The blocking wasn't a whole hell of a lot better on first glance. I paid attention to Tobin when he came in, I thought he was okay at guard. Peters left late and Tobin went to tackle. Peters is getting beat quite a bit. He's still above average, particularly in the pass game, but he is in decline in the run game.
Kelly showed me something today. He was willing to slow his tempo because the situation (even early) dictated he do so. And he was willing to put the QB under center and run conventional plays when he needed a run game. I was very impressed with the defense, particularly the secondary despite missing three starters and a key reserve. Rowe must suck in practice, because he looked great when he got in. I'm assuming he played nickel only because Maragos got dinged, but he was solid, albeit versus Ryan Fitzpatrick. Hicks was a stud, Bair was great, and I thought Nolan Carroll was tremendous. Even Maxwell was very solid. Fitz threw for under 300 yards with over 50 attempts. That's pretty good D against any team, particularly since they didn't allow a running game either.
I concede that there were quite a few drops, the two wheel routes alone could have yielded 150 yards and two more TDs, but Bradford still didn't impress me. His decision making is extremely questionable. He only threw at Revis once that I noticed and it was a third and five with under five minutes left when they were running clock. That's when you decide to make that throw???
All in all, the offense did what it had to against a tough D on the road. The defense largely held and got a bunch of turnovers. They didn't beat the Patriots, but it's a start. On to the Skins...

Having trouble seeing what Bradford brings. I'm just hoping there's some rust, and that over the course of the season Kelly the QB whisperer gets him going.

Ever since hearing how close Bradford was to retiring I've really worried about if it even matters to him. The guy never seems fired up and got the last monster rookie contract so is beyond set for life. Hope I'm wrong.

He endured rehab for a reason. Never had to rehab, but from what I have heard, it's torture.
So I think it matters.

He's not the god he was made out to be. He's just a good WR that will go as far as his QB/targets takes him. In Jac he's M. Lee. Here he's interesting.

How dare you compare Foles to a so-so game manager. Foles is consistency trying to make plays 20+ yards down the field vs looking for the nearest RB to dump the ball off too, kind of like many other great QBs. You don't have a clue from watching highlights. He was shredding the Steelers. Figured you would find a way to chime in and say how good Foles was today. He was far from shredding the steelers defense... not like their defense is tough to shred anyways. You're hopeless.

I'm a Steelers fan living in Philly and I try to keep things as objective as possible but I'm not sure today is the day where you should be defending Foles. He was awful today. He was put in a really good position to lead a game winning drive against a demoralized team (without maybe their best defensive player) and he failed.

It doesn't matter if you're a fan or not. How could he be "awful" completing almost 70% of his passes with 3-4 drops? The one to Kendricks is a walk in TD
As for the bold.
4th and 5 at STL 39(1:19) (Shotgun) N.Foles pass short left to K.Britt to SL 46 for 7 yards (A.Blake). The Replay Official reviewed the pass completion ruling, and the play was REVERSED. (Shotgun) N.Foles pass incomplete short left to K.Britt.

I'm not going to derail this thread because it's really not about Foles. Also, I really like what you bring to the table. However, I watched the game today and Foles did not have a good game. Sure his completion % was good but did he even attempt one deep pass?
ETA -- How are you going to defend the interception that Foles threw in the 4th quarter than led to the Steelers FG?

I don't defend anything, but I did catch the presser. Foles said all game the S went to the outside on that look. Allen baited him for the win. You can tell that's what he was thinking the way he floated the pass. It happens.
I seen a few deep passes to Kendricks and one to Britt that resulted in a PI. Have to check the stats when they come out, but he has a whole body of work that suggest he's not consistently dinking and dunking. Bradford is/does and actually looks "atrocious." Thread back on track
You must be so upset that your golden boy couldnt lead the rams past an awful steelers D and that a Bradford led Eagles team beat the jets. Great breakdown. I worry a bit too about Peters... he always seems to be hobbling off the field hurt, but usually comes back in. Don't think he can make it through every snap of the season this year.
It was so exciting to see Rowe do well out there today. Maybe he does just suck in practice, maybe he hasn't gotten the opportunities, maybe he's just a gamer under pressure. Either way, I think we are going to be seeing more of him from now on. This draft is starting to look very good (the jury still out on Nelson, but it'll take a bit of time)

All you can ask about a guy who hasn't played in two years (Bradford) is that he's making progress. There's no doubt that he played much better than last week. His stat line should have been much better. Drops that would have been huge gains. His stats should have been 250+ yards and three TDs. Against one of the top defenses in the league. On the road
Also, seeing how badly McCoy and Foles are doing restore my faith in Chip's judgement.

Herremans and Mathis have been less than good. I do think Foles turns it around though. He went from QB friendly Andy Reid and Chip Kelly to offensive dinosaur Jeff Fisher.
